Strange Bartender. There is a bartender there who always is hanging on people. She Is more worried about her friends then other customers. She wears sparkly makeup that looks horrendus. The food is good though. Mexican salad was tasty. They have a pool table, darts, and good music. Temperature was hot then cold. Never a good inbetween. Overall I would go back.

Declining Service. WOW! We have been coming regularly to the Barley Pop for 15 YEARS (since the $3.99 Friday night fish fries). We take our family, friends, and all the foreign exchange students that we have hosted thru the years there to show them what a good fish fry used to be. The fish changed about 5 years ago (not near as good) but we still came.

BUT...the service has certainly eroded to the point we will not go back!! We went on a Friday night when, by 6:30, the place was often packed in the past. Only 5 tables were used this particular Friday. The place was empty! The dining room temperature had to be about 55 degrees, and I ate with my winter coat on, my wife wore her mittens. It took over 10 minutes to get a waitress (Allysa). We orderred the fish, and onion rings as an appetizer. The appetizer never came. After more than 15 minutes, we asked where the appetizer was. It came 5 minutes later, WITH THE FISH! We had her take back the appetizer, as the fish would have froze, if we tried to eat the appetizer first. My wife received ony a half cup of coleslaw. The table next to us got a warm 20 oz beer, which he left full, on the table, when they left. The people seated behind us never were waited on, and when a "Manager?" came later to ask if they had yet to be served, they said they were waiting a long time.

My wife asked for a soda refill, which never came. We asked where it was just before we left, and it finally came as we were leaving.

We heard the waitress say "I'm sorry" AT LEAST 8 times, so others were obviously having problems also!

Barley Pop was at one time a great place to go, and we are disappointed to see what the establishment has become! I hope they can turn things around, and get back on track at some point in time!

Great Burgers!. Great Burger! I love pub burgers and this place has the best around. I found the Barley pop to be a very welcoming and friendly place. This is my first time doing a message. I was looking up the phone # so I could get there hours and saw the bad review before mine and was sad they had such a bad experience but I did not have there pizza. I will go back again and again. I loved it!

The worst service and pizza. We went to Barley Pop recently and I would not recommend their food or service based on the fact that the restaurant was not busy - there was only one waitress - and she could not handle the responsibilities of her job. When asked if we could have a separate check - we were told it was easier for her to just do one check. Then we showed her an Entertainment book coupon - and she told us she could honor it. We ordered a pizza and a pitcher of soda. The pizza was horrible. We had sausage, pepperoni, and 1/2 black olives. The sausage was scattered little bits of meat, the black olives were cut very thin and I would guess there was less than 1/16 cup on a large pizza. When our bill came - the waitress told she could not honor our coupon - then proceeded to show us a menu where this was stated (now mind you this was after we had eaten so we had no choice to cancel our food order) Now to add even more misery - the bill was completed with an 18% tip included. I would have asked to speak to management but there was only a young bartender besides this waitress. I left my Entertainment book coupon on the table - knowing I would never return to this place again. I would consider this one of my worst restaurant experiences. The waitress was a young know it all girl who whined to us that this was just her third day of working. I believe she has chosen the wrong career for herself. She needs to learn that the customer is the important factor and not what is easiest for her - and she needs to understand how to honor a coupon. Don't waste your time going to place!
