Check your bank statement after. Check your bank statement after dining!

While dining at Senor Tomas recently our waitress came up to my girlfriend and I not even half way through our meal and told us she had to leave. Instead of having another waiter take over our table she asked if we wanted to-go boxes and asked if I would close out my bill early. I found this very rude and unprofessional, and the tip I left expressed this. No big deal, right? Wrong.

I checked my bank statement a few days later and noticed that the tip she entered in the computer more than doubled what I gave her. I spoke with the restaurant owner about this and he told me he would be terminating the employee and refunding my money. The employee was fired but now, almost a month later I'm still waiting for my money to be refunded and nothing. I called and spoke with the owner AGAIN and he said we had never agreed upon refunding my money.

BAD BUSINESS, TERRIBLE OWNER, WORSE SERVICE. If you are planning on going here still after reading this review, though I caution against it, CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENTS.

Awesomely Authentic!. I've been here about 10 times now and have been impressed each time! Service has always been very polite, fun, and attentive. The food is so flavorful and authentic and comes out piping hot and quick. The coffee drinks are unique and like nothing else I've tasted anywhere else (especially "The Mayan").....so delish! Over all this place is my new fave....highly recommended!!

No so great. I took my 18 year old son and his girlfriend here at his request, as someone told him the food was really good. For the most part, it was, and the prices are reasonable. His girlfriend and I didn't care for the red enchilada sauce, it tasted burnt. The drink special of the night was Mojitos. Since my son was driving, I thought I would try one. The special was $2 off Mojitios. The kids ordered sodas and I ordered a Mojito. The waiter came back and said "the mint just went bad" and therefore, they could not make me a Mojito. I asked if they could subsitute another drink in place of the special, since they did not have the ingredients to make the drink special. The waiter went to ask his manager and the manager "wouldn't go for it". So, the waiter didn't charge us for one of the soda's, which was about $2. That was nice of the waiter, but poor customer service on the part of the manager. I had been in the restaurant/bar business for about 20 years, and any of my managers would have GLADLY substitued a drink of my choice. The waiter asked if we wanted more chips and we said "sure!", but in 3 visits back to our table, he never brought them. Finally after asking the 4th time, he brought them. Since I couldn't have a Mojito, I ordered water instead. It was never brought. After we were done eating, the waiter brought us the bill, he asked if I still wanted my water. Nope, I didn't. I had sipped off my son's soda, to wash down my dinner, since nothing I ordered to drink ever made it to the table. I usually tip 20% , however, tipped about 12% for this meal. Because of the manager (not the wait service), I would not return to this establishment and have told many friends about my experience there. I really wasn't impressed. It's not always about if the food and prices are good. If the customer service is poor, then why go? I can make good enchiladas at home, but went here to be waited on and taken care of. The manager failed on customer service and the wait staff was likely understaffed - again, a managment problem. Adios, Senor Tomas! If you want really authentic, very reasonable Mexican food, make the drive to Milwaukee and eat at Conijitos! I'm sure they will have mint, as well.

Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Mexican restaurant features reasonable prices, traditional cuisine and two floors with a quiet upstairs and bustling first floor .
