Absolutely LOVED THIS PLACE!! I went
through when I was a teenager. They offer years of free photo shoots and training. YEARS! No other center offers that! If anyone is serious about acting and or modeling JC is the only way to go. If you are serious about this industry and you do your research then you know that you have to have professional pictures and a portfolio, that all costs tons of money!!
I found the training and connections helped me not only to land jobs for modeling but also helped me through college and just interviews for my career. I highly recommend checking out JC for any modeling or acting dreams Totally WORTH IT!
Wily Wonka type a place.
I was just recently found by John Casablancas. They asked me to audition, along with about 15 others. At first they asked who just wants to be an actor, raide your hand. I was the only one who raised my hand. So anyways after that, ,this lady came around collecting our filled out papers (hip size, dress size, Height, etc) It went around the room. Then people on the right side of the room went (It went in order of how the lady picked up our forms) They had everyone walk the cat-walk. Once it was my turn I got up there and did the best performance of my life. I got back up to were they judge you. They asked me a few q's Like Atcting Modeling or Both (acting then changed to both) Are you doing good in school (honor roll) Who is a supportive parent (mother) Then I went and sat back down. They started calling people out of the room, telling them they didnt make a or b (which is how u get "graded") I am one of them who made it, so i was still in the room, finally the called my name and asked what time I wanted the call backs to be on Monday or Tuesday and exact time.
Overall john casablancas has been legit and a fun experiance!
Very Disappointing..
I attended the center last summer, and going into it, I had high hopes and high expectations, not for me, but for the schooling I would receive.
I was very disappointed however with the outcome.
Our instructors would usually be about half an hour late, and usually not even go through the entire agenda scheduled.
We were told we would learn a lot more than we actually did, and our graduation was supposed to be a big deal for us and our families. We were rushed through it, with no practice on the walks or turns. It was a fashion show gone wrong, and when your paying over a grand for the schooling I expected a lot more.
The teachers, the receptionists, and the other staff were very unprofessional, and usually down right rude to all of the students.
Also, I was making my monthly payments and was one month late, I paid it on the day of my graduation and was told that I had a balance of one hundred dollars yet, and would not receive my photoshoot pictures or my diploma until that was paid. I was okay with that, and intended on paying that week. Later that same week I received a bill in the mail saying I had not made any payment and I owed them $1,317.45. A few days later I started getting harassing calls from them about my delinquent balance and was only told I had made no effort to make any of the monthly payments. I couldn't even get a word in, so naturally I hung up the phone. I had been paying in cash or with a debit card at the center, the debit card can be tracked so at least they will see some payment was made but the cash... I'm screwed. I thought my payment was being received, and I was trusting the school. I never got any form of a receipt, and never bothered to think twice about it considering this was a school. So they sent my delinquent balance to collections and it will be on my credit report for 7 years according to a pretty threatening email I received after contacting them.
I would not recommend this school to anyone.
