Patrons for life!.
Jakes is a diamond in the rough! I make sure I visit this restaurant at least two times a year.. You are looking at dropping $50 a person, EASY, but the atmosphere and the food is worth it!!
I recommend the petite fillet, and sauted mushrooms. I have ventured and tried their seafood and have not been disappointed with that dish either. You will leave this restaurant full with their filling sides, and baked bread! MMMM!

Returned after Years-mistake.
After not going for there for years, my wife & I celebrated our anniversary at Jakes. The first thing missing was the crackers & cheese they used to serve at the bar. The second thing missing were the people filling the place up on a Friday night.
The atmosphere & service were as good as years ago but the food was not. The $38 bone in ribeye was very tough as was my wife's. It was listed as Angus Beef but if it was, the steer was training for a marathon because I've eaten a lot of Angus and this was te toughest. Pretty sad wen thisnhappens at a high end steak house. I feel bad for the bartenders & server because their great service was overshadowed by the steak.

Simply Fantastic.
My fiance and I went to Jake's for Valentine's Day, and we couldn't have gone to a better place. It has a great funky/retro style that really appeals to the 20 and 30 somethings but also makes an older crowd feel right at home. I tried one of their infused martinis-pear-and it was full of a real natural flavor and devoid of the harsh bite that many martinis have. We both had the filet mignon medium, and it was like a little slice of heaven. Everything was so great there; we can't wait to go back!

Garden and Seafood.
To call it a steakhouse is an understatement. I go there for the amazingly fresh seafood-especially the oysters on the halfshell, and the freshest produce! In the summer, the restaurant has a garden where they grow all different heirloom tomatoes, fresh herbs, and peppers. They also have a very good wine list-very low mark-up!
Try the molton chocolate cake or the individual bailey's cheesecakes-Heaven! They also have a pomogranate martini that is delicious.

Dining at Jake's.
Jake's Restaurant
Be prepared to spend a few bucks when dining here, but it is worth every penny. A very professional and experienced yet warm wait staff will cater to your every need here.
This classic steak and seafood restaurant is rated one of the top steak houses in the area, if not in the state of Wisconsin. Fresh seafood is brought in everyday!
Tips:
Get the rumaki to start with and avoid the fireplace, it gets a little hot. If romance is your thing, ask to sit in the back, it's low lit and decorated with vintage wine barrels.
