We've been enjoying Beanie's for years, but it was always on the pricey side, especially for Mexican food. Recently we went back and were shocked to find the prices have been raised - entrees now start at $14. While Beanie's food is good, the quantity and quality do not correlate to the expense. Port Washington has several other restaurants offering food of similar or better quality for MUCH lower prices.

Beanies is really one of the best places to get Mexican around here. They have a pretty extensive menu and the food is good. While the chimichangas and a few other items are not made there, the rest of the food is good and reasonably priced. The margaritas are yummy and the bar has swings to sit on. A fun place.

I couldn't say it's really Mexican food, but it was very good. The entrees are tasteful, and not swimming in cheese or a mystery red sauce. The drinks are served up right, and the bright atmosphere is fun for a date or a group. Since your meals aren't drowned you can add salsa to tasting to spice it up your way. Reasonably priced, it's a sure thing.
