Nice food and staff., and a great bar..
I'm becoming more of a fan of Applebees every time I visit. The food is fast, hot, and good. It's also starting to get a pretty good crowd at the bar later. It's a fun place to have some cocktails with friends after work, or even late night. I have gone to their Tuesday night trivia a few times and really enjoyed it.

Big portions of mainstream American fare, served up in a convivial, family atmosphere..
In Short
A low-key, friendly environment attracts plenty of families to this reliable chain. Kids in the big booths--often clutching free balloons and crayons--usually outnumber adults sitting at the bar. The menu offers filling American fare with no surprises, from mozzarella sticks and nachos to rollups and burgers. Entrees include steaks, fajitas and main dish salads. The calorie-conscious can select from a list of Weight Watchers-inspired dishes like mesquite chicken salad and grilled tilapia with mango salsa.

Kids Nite on Wednesdays.
From the balloons, crayons and fun kid menus to the "Kids eat free" nite every Wednesdays, I would say Applebee's is very kid friendly! They have a full bar with almost everything you would want (except mushrooms and onions for drinks, so if you must have them, bring your own.) They can easily accomidate a large crowd. They love to celebrate birthdays with the Applebee's Birthday song, some balloons, and a whole lot of clapping. Depending on who is working in the kitchen, the service can tend to be a bit slow on very busy nites. There is a cook named Able, I believe... when he is there the food comes out promptly!!! I think the food is really good. The one good thing about a chain like this is that you always know what to expect. It is pretty much the same from one store to the other. Also, you get very resonable portions sizes for the money. Now, you aren't going to get away with a $5.00 dinner like you would at McDonald's, but you aren't going to be shelling out the bucks like you do at Olive Garden, either. On average, for my family of four (My husband, my 8 year old, my 18 year old and myself) we can get away with paying $35-$40 for dinner, including tip. This does NOT include drinks as we don't drink. I would recommend it! And if you do go, try to go on a Friday for the AYCE fish fry. They have the best fish!!! And while you are there ask to be seated in Christine's (the server) section! She is the best server we have EVER had!
