We Love This Place!.
We discovered the Rafters several years ago and go there on a regular basis. Their filet mignon is always tender. Love the relish tray. We have never had a bad meal there. We have taken friends and family there also, and they enjoyed it.

Doesn't know how to cook a steak.
Don't even bother with this place if your under the age of 40. I had to send back my steak 3 times and it still was never done. Then the manager/host acted as if it was my fault. The only good thing about this place is we had a very nice older woman waitress. She was the only thing that kept me from walking out with out paying the check.

Pass.
We were really looking forward to a nice dinner here but we were very let down. The food was expensive, the waitstaff was rude. The food was mediocre at best.

steer clear.
I had the worst fish ever at Rafters. I ordered the Sicillian Baked Cod. Basically, the cod was floating in 1/2" of some butter/oil mixture. My stomach is still churning. The only part of the meal I was able to put down was the salad and the side of pasta served with the fish.

Plain outside; outstanding food inside!!.
Formerly from Chicago and now living in Seattle I have eaten in many fine restaurants but none has ever compared to The Rafters. The filet mignon is SUPERB as are their ribs. The appearance from the outside is deceiving but I urge everyone to give it a try. My second favorite all time restaurant is the Stage Stop. I hope to make a trip to Milwaukee soon just to be able to eat at these places once again. As travel is my main interest I keep trying to top one of these restaurants but so far am unable to.
