They take care of their customers, turn out a great final product, and stand behind their product even if there are issues that arise from things out of their control. If you want a great floor - be it carpet, wood, or resilient flooring, Schmidt has the products and certified installers for you!

Best Showroom. We looked at several showrooms in the area and there is absolutely nobody that has a showroom like this company. All I can say is WOW. They had an awesome selection and made it easy to make a decision with how it was all laid out. We went in looking to do some oak and left deciding on random width Hickory at a 45 degree angle. Job was just done last week and is nothing short of awesome. All I expected and more, thanks.

Schmidt Hand Scraped my 6" Custom Walnut Flooring and Installed my tile bathroom and shower. They are exceptional at custom work. Thank you Schmidt Custom Floors and all of your staff for completing our project on time and actually below our budget. I can't wait to show off our new floors.

Best Experience I've ever had with a Contractor. With three children under 6 we were on a tight schedule after water damage forced us to install new carpet and repair/refinish our wood floors. 3 days from start to finish, 5 rooms of carpet and our floors refinished beautifully with little to no dust, we cannot be happier. The crew that did the job was absolutely fantastic and really treated my home as if it was their own. I would recommend Schmidt Custom Floors to anyone I know. By the way they have an unbelievable showroom near the big Marcus Theater in Waukesha. Thanks Schmidt.

Probably the best in the area. I don't understand the other review. This company did an excellent job on my house. They installed the flooring, after removing some of my previous floor, and have subsequently sanded and finished it.

The whole experience was positive, communication was excellent not to mention the quality of the overall project. My experience was far from the previous reviewer.

Lots of issues and poor customer service. Had an oak floor installed by Schmidt Custom Floors. Due to their busy schedule, the work was completed over a period of approximately 6 weeks ( a bit on the long side) and I called them numerous times to fix issues which they refused.

Positives:

Special dust containment system that worked well in keeping dust to a minimum from sanding.

Negatives:

Installer was screaming at someone on cell phone and was so upset he made some deep gouges in floor while he was using sander. This was not fixed.

Receptionist was very rude - demanded we pay bill before work was completed. Told her that work was not completed - she said that is not what the installer told her. Told her to come out and see for herself.

Buckled/raised floor boards in several places; on the end of one piece of oak flooring board, a large chunk was missing from it - installer installed it anyway and stained it. When I complained he put some wood putty on it (without even smoothing it down) and said there - now it's fixed. I had another flooring contractor come out and cut that section of board out - he was also disturbed by the poor job that was done.

This could have been the result of a poor installer but I had also spoken with several people in their office who were rude and didn't have the sense to come out and check the work that was done.

Bypass this flooring contractor as there are other contractors with better quality work and better customer service.

Not Recommended. I would not recommend Schmidt Custom Floors in Waukesha.

Had them install some floors. . Install was good but they overlooked a lot of things before they finished the floors.

Then when I pointed out the things they forgot , I was told "that is the industry standard" You would think after laying off half of there workers they would make a job look better than "ok"..............
