Editorial Review for Pieces of Eight Restaurant – by Monica Murphy LeMoine
In Short
This is the closest you'll get to Lake Michigan without a swimsuit; floor-to-ceiling windows provide panoramic lakeside views at this elegant seafood house. Wood and stone decor, a glowing fireplace and plenty of natural light create a country-club feel inside. The Sunday champagne brunch--featuring Dungeness crab, smoked trout and complimentary glasses of bottomless champagne--draws huge crowds. Non-seafood menu options include roast prime rib, 10-pepper meat loaf and antipasto salad.

OK, I remember when your group stop by( yea right the restaurant you wanted was not open haaa!!)What was the name of that restaurant,YEP you for got to right it in the comments; all of you were drunk all ready; that why you can't taste nothing.the waitstaff is very professional always, and what about the menu we don't have tuna in our menu. The steak you didn't order med well you wanted it well done. And the crab cake are made in the morning we don't frees them at all.yes the cake are from a box;just like half of the Milwaukee restaurant. unless you go to a bakery you will not have a fresh cake anyway. the restaurant prepares everything from fresh ingredients all dressings, calamari, chicken rap,London broil,etc...;maybe your taste buds like the salads from McDonald or burger king better not a real thing. looks like to me you were trying to get free meals; come on bring some money next time you want to eat Down Town any were. and the sea food fresh from the water never is going to taste the same from something the it was deliver miles out(even hours later)the word fresh is your clue(maybe go back to Canada or Maryland).OK for all the people the ever visit us please send comments good or bad we thank you , always a pleasure serving you, sincerly one of your cooks.
Pros: Parking,front of lake
Cons: closing Oct.15-08

This is a beuatiful restaurant and the food is excellent but on a recent weekday evening our diner was delayed, the server told us that there was a party of eight that was slowing down service. Since the restaurant was not even half full I can only imagine how slow they get when they are busy. The ladies room had no toilet paper in two of the four stalls , the wastebasket was ov erflowing onto the floor and the flowers were dead and dropping petals onto the vanity. When I told the hostesss she was indifferent and just said " I'll let someone know." I am reluctant to return because of this casual attitude about cleanliness. It makes me wonder about the kitchen and how clean it may me.
