Tips for Milwaukee Ale House

worst dining experience ever. I tried to have a drink and a light meal after 9PM at Milwaukee Ale House and I had my worst dining experience ever.

We left before we finished our drinks and food.

Our waiter and hostesses were rude and incompetent. There was no manager on the site to talk to and the waiter proclaimed himself in charge of all operations.

You may want to think twice before you go to this Ale House, unless you want to be told that ?people sited on this (half empty) patio are supposed to place a larger order ? then you decided to do.

Don't go there for a large party. Pre-arranged a party of 15 people 2-3 weeks in advance starting at 5:30 p.m. We were told by the male server "we are behind schedule for ordering, I have a bigger party coming and I need this space for them".We were told this twice throughout our meal. We were not offered dessert or coffee. We were compensated with 3 free pitchers of beer and a 50 dollar gift cert. after my friend complained to the manager. However it did not make up for the extremely rude service and poor planning from the manager with double booking. I feel we were cheated out of a celebration and great conversation with friends due to an organization with limited intelligence

Great beer!. My husband and I meet here for a beer whenever possible. They make their own and anyone who goes here and wastes their time ordering a domestic is an idiot. Their beer is awesome, try a sampler if its your first time. The food isn't bad, but the beer is definately the strong spot.

Good food & Great beer at Milwaukee's Ale House. Its cool, because it's a community staple. The owners have done a great job and it is always a solid place. I'm a huge fan. It' s great for lunch or for meeting groups out. Check it out in Milwaukee and their new junior resturant out in Grafton - very different type restaurants, same great beer.

AWFUL!!. I have had two horrible experiences at this place and was surprised at how often I heard the same. I recently was on their patio and waited 2 hours for any food - if you could call it that... Reheated nachos with cheese too hard to even chip at with a knife. When I complained, a very rude little man who called himself the "GM" assured me that I could have a cup of soup or chips for free...ARE YOU SERIOUS?? Just wanted $$$ back but was told "My hands are tied." - Sound familiar??? Waitresses even apologized for the rudeness of the GM - When I asked how to contact the owner, they stated that this shifty little *** was an owner....WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE?

Overcharged and told "OUR HANDS ARE TIED". I was recently overcharged at this restuarant by 100%. When I called the Milwaukee Ale House they said that there was nothing they could do and that it was "just a mistake". When I confirmed that it was the error of their waitress they agreed that it was , but apparently it didn't matter they wouldn't reverse the charge. The GM and the restaurant manager both claimed "their hands were tied" and that they could not offer me any help. I told them i was dissapointed tha they were burdening the customer, because of the waitresses mistake and the Restaurant Manager practically hung up on me. I guess they are not concerned with keeping my business. I thought lost business was a bad thing. I guess for the Milwaukee ale house bad business is what they do and unfortunatley their hands are tied on changing it!

eh?!?. not great. I wish they weren't so big. I think the service and food might be better if they were able to concentrate on a smaller number of people.

Ale House & Louise's Demise. My husband & I are fairly regular patrons there. Our all time favorite microbrew is Louie's Demise. Great beer with a great story behind it. Bartenders and management at the Ale House have always treated us very well. Food is good but not great, but the Fish Fry is one of the best we've tasted and its generous. Happy Hour prices are a bargain. Ale House sponsors quite a few charity events that are alot of fun. And they always have great entertainment, even during the supper hour.

Microbrews and Delta blues mingle with big-band swingers at this colossal tavern.. The Scene
A huge interior is divided into two spacious floors accented with low lighting and exposed brick. The downstairs holds a restaurant and stage with plenty of seating for dinner crowds and live-music audiences.

The Draw
Brewmaster Jim Olen ensures that Sheepshead Stout, Pull Chain Ale, Louie's Demise and the other beers produced at Milwaukee Ale House keep the good times rolling until closing time. There's swing dancing on Tuesdays. Wednesdays feature regional and national talent, such as guitar master Dana Robinson or Delta blues impresario Honey Boy Edwards. Friday evenings offer folk or jazz at 5:30pm, and a bigger band sound starting at 9:30pm, usually with the snazzy sounds of the 15-piece Swing Nouveau. Saturday lineups feature local favorites.

Ale House needs upgrading. I have been to the Ale House 4 times int the last year.Except for the wings, the food has been marginal at best. They were rude charging me a cover charge to eat when there was a band. Also another time they put someones drinks on my tab and kicked me out when I disputed it!.Too many good places to go, don't need bad food and an attitude.
