Great Experiences - Many Times. I have worked with Orry DeYoung several times for furniture needs. He goes above and beyond the expectations of a designer. Every time furniture was delivered, he personally came out to see how things looked. His communication skills are outstanding, keeping my husband and me appraised of shipping dates, any problems with the manufacturers, etc. He takes an interest in paint colors, tile selection, etc. even when and where he is not even making a buck for Rubin's. We have been highly impressed!!
Nice Selection. I recently received the furniture I had ordered from Rubin's Furniture 8 weeks ago and I love it! On top of it 8 weeks wasn't that long of a wait either. I'm still considering a coffee table I wanted but it has a longer lead time since it's coming from Italy. I recommend Rubin's to anyone looking for awesome furniture!
Rubins has to be one of the best stores around to shop for contemporary furniture. Every time I'm in there I am greeted by someone that informs me of the most current sales and to just ask if there any questions.
I have bought many items for my 3rd ward condo there and intend to buy much more. As for the other reviews on this site, they're questionable. The one, and only time I had a problem, it was quickly resolved. As for delivery, taxes, etc. it's on your invoice!
Very bad experience.
I have a very bad experience with purchasing a table and an armchair at Rubin’s in Chicago. The salespeople in this store including the manager are simply rude. They wouldn’t politely answer my questions about delivery, taxes and other issues. After the table was delivered it happened to be scratched and again the sales people just ignored my multiply phone calls. I was very dissatisfied with the entire experience with Rubin’s. I still buy furniture for my new condo but I will never stop by Rubin’s again.
Rubin's is a Bottom Feeder!. Absolutely not a modicum of client service. Don't bother going there -- there are many better options than this bottom feeder.
Worst Experience!. I was also warned about the horrible customer service at Rubin's, not to mention their overpriced furniture!! I thought I'd give them a try anyways and learned my lesson the hard way. I was never approached in the store and they made it seem like a huge inconvenience to even write up my order! Once I got my furniture, which I had to wait 7 months for, it came in different than how they showed it on the floor, which was how I ordered it. They wouldn't even do anything about it! When you hear people tell you not to shop there - DON'T SHOP THERE!!! Trust me, you'll regret it. There are much better options out there - even in Milwaukee.
Avoid Rubin's!. The worse customer service experience I have ever had. They REALLY don't care about retaining customers. I was told by several perople not to go to Rubin's, I've learned my lesson. Be warned!
