Just finding the place feels like "Mission Impossible." Look for a red door bearing the name "International Exports, Ltd."--a front, of course. Once inside (be prepared to be de-briefed at the door) you'll be transported into the world of international espionage. From secret passageways, James Bond-inspired martinis (shaken, not stirred), sinking bar stools and phone booths equipped with background noise to support various alibis, it's easily one of the most unique nightclubs anywhere.

Hey, you forgot to mention their web site. www.Safe-House(dot)com! (For some reason, this system won't allow me to write the url) Never seen anything like it for any restaurant, anywhere. Send invitations to meet there, all kinds of fun stuff. I'm in the Virtual Safe House, in the Sightings area. I'm the one carrying Control's totecase. Clandestinely yours, Eliza
Pros: Decor! Fun! Surprises. Liked the magician and karaoke. Amazing autographs in their Newsroom area.
Cons: How come there are not more Safe Houses in other cities?!!!

As a bachelorette party, we were expecting to just "start the night" at Safe House but stayed until close. We loved the front door actiivities and the bar staff took really good care of us! The DJ was playing great music once he saw that everybody there wanted to dance to more hip hop than he had originally played... There were some creepy guys trying to go home with our group at the end, and the staff escorted us out a "secret" door to avoid them.... Very neat decor, very awesome booth and cool photo ops for later!
Pros: Great atmosphere, campy photo ops and a neat collection of people
Cons: $5 cover on saturday night, bartender not the best long island pourer
