Im a rooting for the root beer. Might not be the best of all restaurants in the city, but I had a wonderful time with my girlfriends here the other night. They had a wonderful selection of beer, but since my childhood I have been obsessed w/ it's lesser cousin..rootbeer. The rootbeer here is sooo goood! You can practically taste each individual flavor that is used to process this. But after the rootbeer, we all had different beers, and I wasn't to crazy bout mine (can't even recall the name), but Ik my friends had a good time...and that's all i could ever ask for.

Like watered-down beer? Then this is the place for you!. I seriously think the beer at this place is watered-down and diluted. It tastes awful. Having had hundreds of different beers in my life, this place's beer is terrible. I strongly recommend staying away from this place if you don't want to be dissatisfied with bad beer.

Very accommodating and the beer is delicious!. We had our "bachelorette party" dinner there before going out to the bars... we needed to change our reservation to a later time because it took us a long time to get into town... they were very accommodating to our needs and seated us at the time we needed. We all ordered beer... their Oktoberfest and Pumpkin are very delicious. I agree with other people that say to try their beer sampler!

Grab a brew and a Scotch egg at Milwaukee's oldest brewpub.. The Scene
Located on a corner in the busy North Water Street area, this brewpub boasts several copper beer kettles in the front. There's a nice-sized bar area, with plenty of room for dining, too. You won't have to look hard for their impressive collection of beer cans, tap handles and framed T-shirts from other brewpubs around the country. And don't worry sports fans, there are plenty of TVs to catch your favorite game.

The Food
Appetizers are a lot of fun here. Start off with the Scotch egg--a hard-boiled egg, wrapped in sausage, the deep-fried. Sure, it's probably a thousand calories and who knows how many fat grams, but it's a taste treat (and cheap, at just $2.95). Brew tons are a spin on won tons, but these are large squares, filled with a creamy chicken-curry filling, then served with salsa for dipping. The regular menu delves into all the traditional pub favorites.

Great Food. I had the best German food that I ever had that was not prepared by a German grandmother. The staff was friendly. The service was good. If had not had to go back to base I would have stuck around longer. I even bought a sweatshirt there.
