Worst Mexican Food we've Eaten to date. The staff was friendly and all, but the food could not have been much worse. The meat smelled funny, and we had upset stomachs by the time we left. We are the kind of couple that don't like to waste food, but we couldn't finish our tacos ;(  View Less View More

Overpriced Alcohol. Would not recommend this restaurant. Ordered a pitcher of margaritas, they charged $26 for essentially margarita mix, no tequila. The alcohol is significantly over priced, and the food is average. Cheap food, but you get what you pay for.  View Less View More

Nothing Special. I've been there a few times since I live 2 blocks away... Not great food, huge portions, but the meat is often gristly and below average. No free refills on soda. Service is usually quite good. I've had a few good meals, but the bad outweigh the good.  View Less View More

With a door that's almost always open, this homey chain serves straightforward Mexican favorites.. The Scene
Jalisco's service is good, though the occasional language barrier sometimes may cause the service to slow a bit. Tile floors, colorful Mexican blankets on the walls, Latin music, comfortable booths and tables provide a comfortable atmosphere.

The Food

Straightforward, no-frills Mexican and the authenticity shows. Known for its large burritos, Jalisco's eight varieties are a meal by themselves. One burrito could easily serve two. The guacamole is among the best in town--ripe, creamy and mild enough for the heat-uninitiated and children to enjoy. The fresh salsa contains diced tomatoes and is medium spiced with cilantro and chile. The chips, though, tend to be over-fried. The mole entrees are among the best on chicken or poured over enchiladas--dark, chocolaty and spicy sweet. Verde and roja enchiladas are also good covered with just enough sauce and Chihuahua cheese. They also serve tamales, steaks and parrillada--Mexican mixed grill.  View Less
