open your wallet. used to be a great hangout for many years now its an overpriced attraction if you can find one of the RARE coupons for a discount they arent usually honored most of the time or the employees dont know if they are.they change there menu to much making it expensive its about 7$ for a piece of pizza and a drink
Good Luck ....
Long Story Short: If you place an order for pickup, add 30 minutes to the time they give you or else go there and wait around with your free soda cup until they decide to make your food.
I thought I would give Pizza Shuttle a try this morning for the first time in a long time.
They have been around for years and have grown significantly in all this time.
I remember their sicilian pan pizza being the best pizza ever, and thought I would check up to see how it is now.
I placed a pickup order for a simple cheese pan pizza at 11:35 AM by phone, and was told it should be ready in 20-25 minutes.
Ok so I arrive at Noon and pay for my pizza. The cashier goes to grab it from the kitchen except its not there.
I was told 5-10 minutes and I got a free soda cup.
They actually hadn't even started my pizza and I'm waiting around now as a Noon rush of people come in.
So then I'm trying to get the free pizza shuttle wifi working on my phone at least while I wait, but it requires some username and password that I can't find on the hundreds of posters on every inch of the walls.
Then I overhear someone asking where is order 64 (my order), so they actually hadn't even begun making it still.
By 12:20 PM of course I give up and ask for a refund, which gladly wasn't a problem.
The cashier giving the refund tells me it takes 30 minutes to make a sicilian pan pizza, something they could have mentioned when I ordered.
I was offered one of the dried out pizzas that sit out in the heat box for when people order just a slice.
The pepperoni fat was leaking down from the top pan to the other slices, thx but no thx.
Question is, why didn't they just tell me it would be 30 minutes to make it when I placed the order.
Or why didn't they actually start making the pizza at some point during the 20-25 minutes.
Or how about why after I'm there they didn't just tell me the pizza just wasn't going to be ready.
For a restaurant that has such a huge menu, and such a high traffic rate, and delivers just about anywhere in the city, how could they not have a handle on such a simple thing as a pickup order.
I can't comment on the food because I left with only a soda cup.
Overpriced, below average food.. I ordered from Pizza Shuttle quite often because I work late night and it was the only place with such a large menu that was so convenient. I will never order from Pizza Shuttle again because it is not only absurdly overpriced ($8.50) for a 12 inch sub, but the food has been consistently poor. The delivery is never early but quite often late, and the food is usually lukewarm to cold. They also add a $2.25 delivery fee to every order, jacking the price up even more. You should honestly avoid ordering food from this place.
Extremely Average. I actually order Pizza Shuttle quite often. I don?t love the pizza by any stretch of the imagination, but it is the best pizza (quality for the cost) I have found in Milwaukee, when it is prepared properly. The service is usually average. Sometimes the service is exceptional and sometimes the service is downright awful. I have received pizzas that were completely falling apart upon deliver, but normally the pizza is as it should be. All around this is a fine place to eat occasionally, but it is not a four or five star pizza place, it?s just okay.
Great Spot to Grab a Slice. I love these guys. Always super friendly and great deals too! I stop in a lot to grab a slice of pepperoni or even a corn dog. They also have great salads and desserts.
Pizza Shuttle.
This is my first message.
The service is fast and favorable. Everyone seems to know their jobs and does them well. The people at the registar are efficient and knowable about the products.
The food was very affordable. Large variety and good size quanities. We were impressed by the freshness of the ingredients in our dishes. We loved the pepperoni pizza and the hot wings were still lingering on the tongue long after we left. The beer was cold and the ice cream refreshing. We love the atmosphere! It is a great place for adults and college kids to hang out. We loved the fact they were open so late at night. A good place to stop after the movie or activities downtown. The elevator was a welcome sight to one of the people in our group. The french fries are some of the best I have had in town. They were crisp and we couldn't get over the amount you were given! The ceaser salad was fresh, plentiful and had a delightful taste. All in all this is one of the most reasonably priced with the largest variety of good tasting food we have come to enjoy in a long time.
This isn't the type of place I would take young children.
The televisions were nice. A great place to spend a couple of hours.
Since 1985, this independent pizzeria has offered an extensive menu, catering and a family-friendly dining experience..
In Short
Though the restaurant delivers to hungry locals during the wee hours of the morning, various cliental also assimilate within the recently renovated dining room. At night, the place becomes a popular meeting spot, equipped with a jukebox, plasma TVs and an oak bench from 1890, which once sat in an Illinois courthouse. Specialty pizzas include Thai curry and Mediterranean, though burgers, pitas and custard pints also grace the menu.
Chicago loves the shuttle.
everytime im in town, I eat at shuttle, nothing like chicago pizza(the best) but the crust
is so good I ask for and buy 10 dough balls when going home,so so good, the rest of the menu is average, but impressive how much this place offers,if you have a taste for anything quick, they have you covered...
People out the doors!. I'm a little confussed about the recent review from the previous person complaining about the service and food. Everytime I have gone in there, I see the same happy faces of the employees ready and anxious to take care of me. The food has always been pretty good and sometimes it might take a little longer than normal especially when the "line is out the door" what does this mean? they must be doing something right, maybe not all the time, BUT WHO's PERFECT-Delivery- no body does it better!
