Nomad World Pub

A soccer bar where the beer flows like water and the dudes all sport beards. Grab a Spotted Cow and a board game and join the party.

Tips for Nomad World Pub

Coffeehouse by day, pub by night--a fascinating but crowded melting pot in the trendy East Side-Brady Street area.. The Scene
The small, smoky barroom is bedecked with photos and artifacts from around the world, mostly collected by bartenders on their expeditions to Nepal, Switzerland and other far-flung locales. This is a great people-watching spot to check out cab drivers, office workers and purple-haired club-cats gyrating in the latest street fashions.

The Draw
Much like the eclectic decor, the drink menu is vast and varied. Whatever your sin, you'll find your nectar: coffee, espresso, wines, cider, beer, liqueurs and mixed drinks abound. The draft selection is impressive, with your brew of choice served in the proper glassware, unless you're sitting outside, where you may get plastic.

Diversity without pretension. Eclectic, fun, never dull--the Nomad is my favorite hangout on the East Side. It has the perfect mix of casual ambiance and cultural diversity. The collection of strange and funny masks on the wall is a perfect example. They don't hit you over the head with 'diversity' like some places might. The lack of pretension also shows in the crowd the Nomad attracts. While it may be a little too casual for the fast-moving Martini crowd, just about anyone else will feel comfortable catching a match (real football when it's in season) or people watching from the back corner. The barstaff are generally pretty knowledgeable and friendly, although they were stumped when asked to make an obscure mixed drink (for which I can't really blame them). Stick to the wide assortment of ales from around the world or decently-priced top-shelf liquors and you will never be disappointed.
