Best Irish Pub In Milwaukee!!!. I was drinking in the harp bar recentley and i believe its the best irish pub about the beer is good and the drinks are strong and isnt that what being irish is all about... as for you sissy people who want fresh basil on your grilled cheese sandwich get a life i say to you. and the guy who ordered greygoose you sound like you still live in mum and dads basement the harp bar is for people who enjoy a bit of fun and a good drink.....
RUDE OWNER!!!!!. I am flabbergasted. I just received the most unbelievably atrocious service from the OWNER of the Harp. We arrived and were greeted by a delightful waitress, got drinks and ordered our food. Since I am from out of town and this place is (was) highly recommended by my friend I am expecting it to be great! What a disappointment. When my bloody mary came I bit into an olive that was disgustingly old- never pleasant. My friend ordered a sandwich she has had several times- the "caprese grilled cheese" and when she got it it didn't have the usual fresh basil, but dried. She asked for something else before taking a bite and the server came back to inform us the answer from the OWNER was NO. We would have to pay for it AND her other choice. When she went to him directly- same answer. Is this a joke? Since when does an OWNER treat a customer unhappy with a menu item with the answer, to summarize, "tough #@$& ?" He was extremely rude and couldn't have cared less. I will never go back. More sad is the fact that my friend- an (obviously former) regular will never step foot in the place again. DON"T GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Pub features a large outdoor deck along the Milwaukee River, affordable prices and traditional pub fare.
Old World Feel. The Harp made me fell as though I were sitting at the town pub in County Kerry, sipping the day away and conversing with the town folk. Aside from the very hard wooden bench seating, I recommend The Harp highly. They poor a good Guinness...enough said.
Like a fine Irish sewer.... Harp is THE worst bar I have ever been to. This past Saturday I was in town from Minneapolis visiting with friends and we decided to head down to Water Street and the river to have some drinks. Harp was closest. We went to the back patio and got some drinks from the backbar. The absolute worst bartender for as long as the vocation has existed "helped us". My tips for him: when i ask if you have grey goose, do not look at me, say no, then pour it, if you want a tip; stop geling your thining hair, you look like the before shot for Hair Club. After that, our cocktail waitress managed to screw up orders and forget drinks fo the rest of the evening. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ENJOY SERVICE.
