Editorial Review for Park East Hotel – by CL Speering
In Short
Grand lake views, a great location and reasonable rates make this Eastside hotel a favorite for tourists and business travelers alike. Theme rooms vary from the romantic Lake Park Suite (Jacuzzi tub and in-room bar) to the masculine Beer Baron Suite (king-sized bed and an oversized, leather recliner). Road warriors will appreciate the full-service business lounge, complete with fax machines, copiers, Internet access and plenty of free Starbucks coffee.

My husband and I were one of the first people who stayed in their renovated Lake Park Suites. The bathroom was huge and had a romantic jacuzzi tub. We were also able to go on the roof top and view the city from there which at night was beautiful with all of the lights. Being connected to Aqua was a plus. Downfall no one told us about parking when we checked in and we got a ticket by parking on the street. Everything else was nice.
Pros: Great views of the lake and city
Cons: I didn't care to much for the room decor

This hotel is in beautiful East Milwaukee with a view of Lake Michigan. It is close to events and they provide a shuttle to the local events. It's also within walking distance of Summerfest grounds. It is well-maintained with friendly and helpful staff. There is a very nice lobby area as well as a nice continental breakfast and an elegant restaurant located in the hotel. One drawback is the crowded ramp parking in which it is difficult to maneuver your car, however, it is also a nice amenity in the winter if you are able to park on the lower level, which is covered. There is rooftop access which is messy and not kept up. It consists of white plastic chairs and tables. However, it's nice to go up there in summer, especially during Summerfest and take in the view of Lake Michigan and the city.
Pros: inexpensive, great location, rooftop access
Cons: no pool, no hot tub
