Sidney from Neroli downtown is amazing. She listened to what I was looking for, took her time, and was not afraid to be edgy and go out of the box. This girl has skills! I finally found a stylist I will return to! Highly recommend her.
Fabulous Salon.
I recently moved to Milwaukee from Chicago, so when I needed a haircut this past week my search for a salon began.
I did my research and decided to give Neroli a try as I liked their convenience of multiple locations and being open everday and into the evening on weekdays. From the moment I arrived to their Bayshore location to the moment I left I was attended to and felt at ease. Plus my hair dresser, Jamie Lynn, was fantastic!! Being the fall season I was ready for a new look and what I loved was that she listened to what I wanted and then made suggestions. The result was better than I anticipated!! There is no question that I have found my go to salon and hope to check out their spa soon.
SKIP IT: Neroli Salon & Spa. THEY ARE AWFUL. This past Saturday I was supposed to have my trial run for wedding hair and makeup at Neroli.I drove 2 hours from IL to be there and just 30 min before my appointment the salon called me (mind you I scheduled this 3 months ago because I live in another state!) that the hair technician, Samantha, is no longer available on my wedding day. I show up, they have no back up scheduled for my wedding or for the trial, everyone is making excuses, no manager onsite. Chris at the front desk said "I barely work here" and "I don't really know what happened" and Samantha had the nerve to say "At least we called you today instead of letting you do a trial run and then calling you next week to let you know I wasn't available" I just don't have any confidence in the staff there. I had to ask to speak to a manager and none were on site, all employees were making ridiculous excuses, and I'm still baffled why Chris sent Samantha, the tech who bailed on me, out to talk to me...I didn't see the point. When the manager was notified I received a nice VM from her, but I was too upset to talk to her. She sent me an email saying she "could talk to the owner to see if they could do something" REALLY? I can't trust those employees to be there or provide quality customer service to me or my wedding party, let alone provide backups in case someone became unavailable. I have no faith the same thing wouldn't happen to others planning their wedding hair/makeup-this is a stress brides just don't need! I decided then and there to pull my entire wedding party-hey, it's over $1k worth of biz in a recession (I did the math). Worst customer service I've ever received. Do not chance your wedding day to them!
NEROLI Aveda Salon & Spa. I am a regular customer and now know many of the employees personally. I don't know of any employees who are unhappy; in fact, everyone that I know is long term and has nothing but positive comments regarding their employment. They are all extremely professional in the workplace and provide the utmost in customer care. This has been the only salon where I can walk out the door and go directly to my planned destination without stopping to adjust my stylist's work. I guarantee that there is not another salon in this state that offers the degree of pampering that Neroli offers. I would not be surprised if the negative comments left on this site were coming from Neroli's competitors.
addressing bad reviews. Ive worked at Neroli for 15 years and it is the best place that Ive ever worked. Ive never experienced more professionalism, kindness and realness than at neroli.i think that i can say in complete honesty from my heart that neroli is the real deal and all these bad reviews shock me because i live this experience 5 days out of the week and love working for this company and know the time that they'''the management'put into the experience that they want the guest to enjoy and that is their mission bar none before anything else!i am completely surprised and stunned really that people would say these things about the place i work at ,that ive known for as long as ive known!ive never felt more at home than at nerol.i know what youre thinking,i am not brain washed,i know for a fact that susan lives and breathes her business to make it a wonderful and amazing experience for whoever chooses to come to our place...i just cannot believe the things that people are saying...i am dumbfounded...we strive to give our guests an'experience 'like no other...we work so hard and go to endless education to keep ourselves current always.
Went in to relax, left angry.... I went in for a massage and haircut in hopes of a relaxing spa day-- what I got was the farthest thing from relaxing. I was 5 mins late and told that I could not have the full body massage I had reserved. Instead I got a 30 minute upper back massage and the masseuse did not seem to have any sense of where my tension was or how to get rid of it. She told me we had to cut it short so I wouldn't run late for my hair appointment. I sat waiting for my haristylist for 15 minutes. My 'haircut and style' lasted a grand total of 30 mins. She barely cut anything off and although I asked her to straighten it I left looking like I had just gotten out of bed. I had to come home and re-do my hair myself before I could go out...this was a horrendous experience. I left feeling angry and cheated out of over $100. I don't think the masseuse or hairstylist wanted to be there and they certainly weren't in tune with me. Horrible.
Are you serious?????. Perhaps they are overbooked, but I walked in for a haircut and was told they had time. Turns out they must have squezed me in. I wasn't in a hurry but the stylist was. Is that relaxing?
Bad.
What people are saying is true, and the employee's are forced to write positive comments on here to boost their rating.
Seriously, this company needs to get it together, I don't know how they ever expanded as far as they did.
The Devil Wears Aveda.
there is a lack of leadership and management in both the salons and beauty school. I was an advid customer until things seemed to fall apart. The staff seems confused and lost, with no management available to answer questions. An overall lack of professionalism, from the services by technicians to some of the staff memebers. My boyfriend hates going to these places because the staff has to be over animated, greeting you the moment you walk in the door with a cheesey line. The over all feeling he and I get is of fake politeness, and a sense of being forced to offer service through gritting teeth. It seems like the employees are afraid, as if they work for the same women in the movie "the devil wears prada".
overall, I will not support this company anymore. I have loved some technicians in the past, but since most of the good ones seemed to have left I can't help but wonder what's happening to them at this spa.At the spa I had my hair cut and colored, and it turned out terrible. Paying as much as they ask seems rediculous when the technician can't even cut my hair straight! Over priced as well.
I adore this place. I've been going to Neroli for my hair cuts and other spa services (massage, mani, pedi, etc.) for over two years. I have been extraordinarily satisfied with my experience and have had strangers ask me where I have my hair cut (honest to goodness!). I see Ashley at the Downtown location and she is exceptional. I truly love it there and find it to be one of the few places I can truly unwind, relax, and destress. Ultimately if others want to believe that employees write these reviews, so be it, but I've gone for myself over an extended period of time adn have been very happy with my experience.
