Tips for Halo

Great salon -- some of these reviewers need their heads examined (no pun intended)! The salon is small and intimate...everyone is friendly. As far as talent goes -- having paid as little as $15 for a haircut to $300 for a haircut -- you get what you pay for. Michael is a brilliant stylist - best haircut I've had since my days of going to Vidal Sassoon in Chicago. If you want something different -- that will grow out beautifully - try Halo.

As for the guy who was complaining about the salon being closed? Really? You're describing people and associate that somehow with how a business operates? Do you know how many psychos there are on Brady Street? I'd lock the door as well. and everyone knows, for a decent salon -- you call first. DUH. Grow up.

Halo is by far the best salon in Milwaukee... Second to none.

Diane and her team spend an amazing amount of time learning new techniques and exploring trends. Halo has done Hair extensions prior to it being trendy, Eye lash extensions prior to them being the flavor of the moment.

The personnel is amazingly friendly yet very professional in their approach. The atmosphere there is relaxed, service is unmatched. Highly recommended.

Very Rude and indifferent! Tuesday. Very Rude and indifferent!

Tuesday March 27, 2012 about 12:50 in the afternoon I came up to the glass door and

I could see a young woman at the front desk smiling and looking at her computer while talking

with a man with bad highlights like they used to have in the '80s on the other side with his

back to me.

I turned the door handle but it was locked, then I rang their door bell, but she kept smiling

and moving her mouth. Only until another women with either pimples or moles all over her face

got out of a car, walked past me and asked, "If I needed anything?" I said, "I want to get a

hair cut." and as the women on the inside buzzed her in she said walking past me, "Oh, were closed." and left me outside.

I waited for about 30 seconds and realized she was not interested in helping me at

least with salon hours, a business card or an appointment.

The hours of the salon were not noticeable on the windows.

I already felt down because of my hair and now I was minimized,

so I didn't want to stand outside their salon and search for hours of operation when they could of easily tell me.

I don't know why in this economy they would treat potential customers this way!

I was willing to pay their inflated $45 price for a stylish men's haircut but at this point,

I will not give them a cent!

OMG try this treatment!. I received the Coppala Keratin Complex treatment with Michael Potter last week and I could not be more thrilled with the results!!! I have incredibly thick and extremely coarse hair which has been difficult to manage all my life. To blow dry and flat iron it was a daunting and time-consuming task which a dreaded with a passion. Michael is one of the only people who knows how to deal with cutting my thick hair and when he recommended this treatment for my hair I was very reluctant. However, this treatment has completely changed the look and texture of my hair for the better! I am wondering why I didn't try this sooner! My hair is now soft and managable and actually moves in the wind. Try this Keratin treatment and you'll be glad you did too...it's worth every single penny! :-)

best colorist around. I have been coming to Halo for years. I have lived in different states most of the time. Diane has always been the best colorist around. She has fixed every hair color mishap other salons have created. She truly is genius recently a super expensive salon some how managed to dye my beautiful auburn brown hair the craziest color of purple I have ever seen....No JOKE! Diane once again managed to get me back to the auburn color I was before without damaging my hair. GENIUS!

I feel like a movie star!!!!. So, I moved to Milwaukee two years ago and have been looking for a good hairstylist, experimenting and making do with people from my hometown.

Everything about this was perfect. The place is perfect. The staff is really friendly. The music was perfect. The decor was perfect. Paige, my stylist, listened to me and what I wanted. She was really thorough with my cut, making sure every millimeter was in place!

It turned out fantastic! It's not a huge departure for me, but *really* well-executed. I've been walking around with blah heavy ugly shapeless hair for months, and I walked out with perfectly balanced fluffy beautiful curls that frame my face and make me want to go on about ten dates =)

Paige is the best!. I tried several well rated salons when I moved to Milwaukee. I am so happy I found Halo! Paige is a great colorist and stylist. She recently won an award for best stylist in the region. I am very picky about my hair and I always leave happy with the color and the cut. The also have the best lesser known brands of shampoos and styling aids. I always enjoy my time in the salon, as well.

NEVER AGAIN!. I saw Diane and left crying! She was very knowledgeable about color, but gave me the worst haircut of my life. I was very specific in my wish to blend the layers of my hair, without taking off too much length. Within the first 3 minutes, she had 3 inches off the shortest layer. I went back to my ?regular? stylist and she was appalled by the cut. All she could say was ?You just need to be patient and let your hair grow back?.

I will NEVER go back to Halo!

The Angels at Halo. I'll admit it. I am a self professed hair snob. I attribute my neurosis (wink wink) to the many bad cuts and colors I've endured throughout my 30 some years of life moving from city to city. When I moved to Milwaukee, I tried out three salons and still wasn't happy until a friend recommended Halo. Since my first cut/color there about a year ago, my hair has never looked better. Then I made a HUGE mistake and tried out a different salon with lower prices. BAD MOVE. My once long, thick and silky hair was now over-razored, frizzy, had no shape and had spotty color. NOT HAPPY. Although the woman who did this to my hair was willing to fix it, my trust was lost. Needless to say, I went back to Halo where Diane fixed the color, the cut and the frizziness. I was so happy I was literally dancing out of the salon blowing kisses her way. So, if you're a little crazy-obsessed about your hair too, Halo is where it's at!!

Best service, and Cutting Edge ideas in Milwaukee. I just moved here from Chicago and NEVER have I had an experience at a salon like this before. I used to spend tons of money for mediocore service, cutting edge ideas, but not cattering to exactly what I wanted, and new products that seemed that I just had to have for the "right" look. I recently visited HALO and was throroughly impressed! I was offered a unique loose leaf tea which I was glad that I didn't get before my services. I called in to make an appointment very last minute because I had a job interview and they squeezed me in with out any hesitation. Paige, my colorist, listened to exactly what I had wanted and even kindly suggested some highlights. I have had many haircuts but never like the one that I had received from Diane. It is amazing! She is so knowlegeable and has very avant garde ideas. The cut defined my personality to the "T." I have found my salon in Milwaukee and will continue to be a loyal customer and will reccommend it to any one who asks! Thanks HALO!!!!
