This immense 19th-century house, once the home of Milwaukee industrialist Charles Allis, carries its elegance well, even into the fast-paced 21st century. In addition to Charles Allis's impressive collection of Victorian, Asian and Greek paintings and sculture, the mansion also hosts rotating exhibits of locally produced art.
