Not what it wants to be. I really wanted to like Moes. I really did. But I have to say the calibur of beef they serve does not command the price they charge. This is a high end steak house, I have no problem spending $35+ for ala carte steak.

Order the "special" 20oz bone-in NY Strip. I ordered it rare, came out a healthy medium to medium-well (mainly grey, little pink, but surprisingly juicy). When paying top dollar for at a restaurant like this I expect A LOT better. Sent it back - staff was very understanding and promised a new steak. I'm sure the kitchen's thought "we'll show this jerk" since the steak was probably cooked to health code minimums and VERY gristlely. They did replace the sides and the manager apologized.

Wake up Milwaukee. This purports to be a TOP NOTCH steak house. It is not.

Sadly, I've had better steak at Outback.

Awesome. An outstanding place to dine. We live on the east coast but fly into Milwaukee to visit family or go to a Packer game. One of our highlights is to dine at Mo's. The food, ambience and service is outstanding. An exceptional place.

Huge Disapppointment. No attention to details. No ambience. No class. Not friendly. Very limited menu. Rushed through dinner ... we were in and out in 1 hour ... including gulping down 2 cocktails. VERY expensive. Even with our take-homes ... the steak was just thrown in with the spinach. Steak was very good. Red wine sauce recommended by our waiter was awful. I don't mind paying top dollar, but expect to get experience commensurate with price. Will never go back.

Nice Ambience, Plain tasting food. The restaurant has nice ambience on the first level at the main entrance. My family had a reservation and was placed on the second floor above the hotel or office building next door. I had ordered a filet with shrimp which was cold when I had come back from the bathroom to wash up for dinner...maybe 5 minutes tops. The steak had a nice topping to it, but with it being cold, I felt they could have done better. The shrimp was served with the shell on, no cocktail sauce or butter, also cold and really no taste. Mo's is also a chain in the Milwaukee area, and right accross the street is Mo's Irish Tavern. Their food is also quite plain. I like potato's as much as the next person, but at least add salt and pepper.

Pampering service and great food. I absolutely love Mo's! The steaks are awesome and so is the dessert! The service is outstanding and be prepared to be pampered. My husband and I go every year for my birthday and our anniversary. The atmosphere here is very upscale and the wine list is devine. If I could dine here once a week, I'd be in heaven.

Stick with a steak. The steaks are fantastic. The tempura asparagus is awsome and you need to finish up with the bread pudding. The price matches what you get and you always get a good meal. No suprises good or bad as long a you stick with steak.

Mo's A great place for steaks???. I have been to many fine steak houses. When I order a filet medium I want it to melt in my mouth. If its a prime cut and cooked right it should. Although they did offer to take it back, I believe a fine steakhouse should cook it right the first time.

The service was fantastic, the sides were great(large portions). Everything was a pleasant experience, except for the one thing they are known for, STEAK.($38)

If you are planning on a steak dinner, try the other recommmended steakhouses(better value).

Sorry Mo

Mo's, a Classic Destination!. Johnny V. has developed an incredible destination venue with Mo's A Place for Steaks. He renovated this two floor restaurant into a fine dinning Mecca.

Mo's is a traditional and formal restaurant that is welcoming and unpretentious. I highly recommend your steak be prepared Sicilian style with Olive oil and lightly breaded, they are my favorite!

It is good to know that Mo's meals are presented ala Carte. Because of this, be prepared to eat a sizable meal if you like your meal balanced with the various food groups.

Mo's wine selection is outstanding! Expect a wide variety of red's and white's. If you happen to have a hard to find personal favorite, Mo's has a nominal cork fee for those wines brought in by you.

I feel you can't find a better blend of food, wine and location in Milwaukee beyond Mo's a Place for Steaks.

Bon Appetite!

Top-of-the-line cuisine and extraordinarily attentive service keep this classy establishment packed night after night.. The Scene
Jovial, well-heeled crowds, lively jazz piano and the upbeat staff contribute to the convivial atmosphere of this buzzing downtown establishment. Very upscale without a hint of snootiness, Mo's manages to make every customer feel pampered. Polished wood furnishings and dim lighting--along with burnt orange- and yellow-hued walls and abstract murals--create a warm, intimate vibe.

The Food
Tap your server's knowledge of well-kept secrets that aren't on the menu, such as exquisite ahi tuna sushi strips seared on one edge and dredged in peppercorn. Flaky, beautifully presented crab cakes with creamy pepper sauce will whet your appetite. Afterward, skip the dry swordfish steak, sticking intead with Mo's specialty: expertly prepared cuts of top-quality beef. Try the juicy filet mignon topped with melted Roquefort, or the tender, smoked baby back ribs. Save room for chocolate bread pudding, soaked in dark chocolate with fresh whipped cream.

FABULOUS - Best in Town! (BAD RANK!). Deserves to be higher, probably 1 or 2! Excellent restaurant all around....food, ambience and service all rate high. Food was excellent, even non-steak entrees and all appetizers. Service is prompt and very knowledgeable about wine and food menus. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a great steak!
