Average fish fry, over-priced.. I had the Friday fish-fry at lunch. The food was OK, but it was priced a bit high for a lunch ($14.95 for the fish plate and $5 for a beer). Not too bad overall, but there are many better lunch deals in downtown Milwaukee.

poor. I went to this restaurant before going to a bucks game, thinking it would be a good idea considering it is located right across the street from the bradley center. Myself and 3 other people arrived there at around 5:45, plenty of time to get out of there by 7:30 or so we thought, we were given a buzzer by an anxious man at the front entrance and were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait. We waited for 45 minutes, it took our food another 45 minutes to get out and was defninately not worth the wait.

Enjoy schnitzel or a Reuben in the landmark spot that's home to one of the city's top Friday fish-fry events.. The Scene
Originally built in 1883, this landmark building has underwent a remarkable restoration. A piece of the past still awaits inside downtown Milwaukee's Historic Turner Restaurant, where stained glass, carved wood, colorful murals and a palm-garden dining room all pay tribute to Milwaukee's early years.

The Food
The menu is an eclectic blend of upscale German and American pub food. The variety of sandwiches including two-fisted burgers, bratwurst, Reubens, roast pork loin and even a chicken schnitzel are all nicely done. Light entrees such as roast chicken, Kassler Rippchen (a Milwaukee sausage platter) and Angry Chicken pasta with lots of garlic and cayenne pepper are also good value.

This hits the spot. I was with a group of 7.. we started with some Nachos, Herbed Stuffed Mushrooms, and Onion Strings, mmmm! I ordered their ribs.. 1/2 order.. just the right amount and delicious. Three people of my group ordered the Shrimp Capellini, which looked and were said to be great! And to top it all off Chocolate Lovin' Spoonful Cake. Oh Boy!! ----Parking was no problem.. but DO use the adjacent parking lot and not any of the parking meters. You end up paying about the same, but need to jet out every 50 minutes or so. So enjoy and relax!
