Fantastic La Fuente-Experiensia Unico. People!!! This is not a place for children....prices high, intoxicated individuals, loud behavior, all around fun. When you go into La fuente you go to get away....no judging, just have fun and enjoy the buzz of the margaritas.....OH SOO GOOOD..................
Best margarita's ever!!. The rainbow margarita's are fantasic as well as the shrimp and steak faitas they have. I try to make it there at least 8 times out of a year!! maybe more if I have time!
Rainbow Margaritas. I'm not a fan of mexican food, but I enjoyed my experience. I was told to go here, it was pretty pricey, but I guess it was because we ordered a lot of pitchers of margaritas. You get a lot of food also. Service was not great, even though it was exteremly busy, waitress kept forgetting things.
Try somewhere else. I used to frequent La Fuente on a regular basis, however I think the quality of their food and their service has gone downhill in the past year. It is too crowded and once you do get a seat, they are in a big hurry to get you out of there. For lunch, it may be better, but for dinner I really don't want to be rushed to eat and run. One of my friends had his Mexican family in town visiting, and was literally asked by the waiter if they were "going to leave soon", shortly after finishing their meal while they were enjoying a drink. Botanas just down the street is also busy, but their service is much better.
La Fuente, eat here and get literallly robbed.
After eating/drinking here myself on occasion....and knowing that I am usually a bit "off center" after a
>couple pitchers of margaritas...I doubt I'd have ever caught this.
>Maybe spreading the word will do some good for others as well:
>I am not sure if anyone has brought this to your attention or not?
>My wife & I went to La Fuente on Saturday for dinner with two friends
>and our collective four kids. Dinner was dinner but what set us off was
>when we received the bill. What they do is any party 5 people or more
>(kids included), they automatically put a 15% gratuity on your bill but
>disguise it as a "Service Charge". What makes this all worse is that
>fact that at the bottom of the bill they "For Your Convenience" tell you
>what 15, 18 & 20% gratuity will be for your total bill after taxes and
>after the 15% that they already added to your bill!!!! So basically if
>you don't catch this, which 99% of the people probably don't, and you
>give them only the 15% that they conveniently provide for you and don't
>catch the "Service Charge", you are paying the wait staff an over 33%
>tip. How dumb are we gringos!? They must go to bed laughing at us
>every night. And now that I look even closer to our bill typing this I
>realize that they charge extra to put cheese on tacos & charge extra for
>the cheese, sour cream & guacamole for my fajitas... These are things
>every other Mexican restaurant gives you as part of the meal. This
>place is a joke...
>When we went to the manager to ask about this, he called over this
>larda$$ of a security guard to try and intimidate us. To say the least
>we will never eat there again and hope you can help spread the word and
>protect future patrons.
Fast Lunch. These guys know how to make great food (+ Margarita's) - and in a hurry. Our office is only 5 blocks away which makes for a great place to do business with clients or catch an after work drink. I'll definitely do lunch there again!
Good margaritas!. Before I moved to Atlanta, this place was my ultimate favorite for decent food (notice I said decent) and GREAT margaritas. I used to go almost all THEE time. Yes there is a long wait, but guess what? When you go to places that are known for having something good on the menu a lot of people will frequent there to get the goods! I dont' mind waiting because I know when I get my food and margaritas I am going to have a good time. The only bad thing is that I haven't found a place like this in Atlanta. When I come back to Wisconsin for my birthday in March, I will be visiting La Fuentes!
Great margaritas with salsa! It's also my kids favorite place to eat because of the atmosphere and the service..
Before my husband left to Iraq we went to eat with the whole family and we just enjoyed it! They had everything for the whole family to pick from. From meat to sea food. And the service was the greatest in Milwaukee. Ever sence that , we have spent my daughters b-day there and also when my husband came back for leave we spent a romantic evening there also. We just love it and have made it our number one restruant for every occasion.
Just to let everyone know that I am hispanic and make all my food home made and I truley recommend this restruant to everyone
Big disappointment. Food doesn't taste like authentic mexican food. I felt like I was eating at Chi chi's. Good atmosphere and bar area. I would not recommend coming here for the food. Find another mexican place. Eat here and I guarantee you will be disappointed. I felt that they were overpriced for what you get compared to other mexican restaurants.
DON'T GO THERE. Extra long wait cosidering the sevice and food! The drinks were weak, the food poor and the service was o.k. With all the Mexican restaurants, you'd do better trying someplace else!
