Conejitos is absolutely THE PLACE to be for authentic, delicious Mexican cuisine, especially if you're looking for quality food without an inflated price tag! Yes, this particular establishment does serve their food on paper plates, but I feel this adds to the charm and really reiterates what they're trying to achieve - which is, maintaining a casual, laid-back yet friendly atmosphere. Be prepared to wait a bit for a table however, as they are almost always packed. At my own first visit my party and I were confused as to how to actually receive service, since there was no host at the door to greet us, hand us menus, nor seat us in an area...so, this would be the only drawback. But I feel this is really due to their equally casual attitude and demeanor, not out of rudeness or poor service. Nevertheless, we eventually just seated ourselves (which by the way, you are supposed to do anyway) and grabbed some menus from another free table to order our food. When it arrived I was surprised at how amazing it truly was! I'll never go to Taco Bell again, if you can believe it, a fast food chain is more expensive!! Honestly, between $2.50-$4.00 per meal. Simply speaking, no matter what your take on the experience (which is ultimately unique), the food is where it's at with any restaurant & with Conejitos...NOTHING compares. (Save your money by skipping La Perla & heading for this place instead. They are minutes, or rather, blocks away from each other & you won't risk running up a high bill like having dinner at La Perla, where both the place is overrated and the food overpriced. Conejitos is sooo under-appreciated, please give it a try!)

I have been to Mexico, Arizona and all over the country and Mexican food is my favorite. I laugh at the people that have said this isn't authentic mexican food. Go to Mexico, go to Arizona, if you don't think this is authentic, you don't know Mexican food. Everything is hand made and fresh. The food is excellent, quick and inexpensive. This is as authentic as you can get. If you are looking for a sit down dinner with fine dining, don't look here. This is the kind of food you find at a stand on the street in Mexico or Arizona, the best food you find there. If you have to wait, have a couple margarita's, you will love em too!!

Skip it! This place has the worst service ever and the food stinks. I'd rather to to Taco Bell, no joke.
