It is located in the Glendale suburb a few miles north of downtown Milwaukee. The offer tours on the weekends which include 4 beers and unlimited soda at the end of the tour. While the facility is nothing awe inspiring, the tours are fun and educational and they quickly move you through the tour for the tasting. While they are well known for their root beer and amber ale, all of their sodas and beer are great. I especially like the Puma Kola soda and the Abbey Tripel and Black Barvarian beers. Their gift store sells beer and soda by the bottle and by the case so be sure to pick up some on the way out!
Quintessential Milwaukee.
In the eighties and early nineties, Sprecher was located in the flats in a backlot old warehouse. It was more charming then, but Sprecher is still worth the trip!
Take the Miller tour first, then cross town for Sprecher. It is interesting to experience the contrast!
Reserve a tour at this old-style microbrewery and taste some of Milwaukee's most popular ales and lagers..
The Skinny
Sprecher prides itself on bringing old-world brew techniques to Brew City. All production adheres to the Bavarian Purity Law, ensuring that everything they produce, from pilsners to soda, comes from high quality ingredients. Finish your tour by sampling some of Sprecher's best in the pleasantly snug beer garden. A range of ales and sodas will refresh adults and children alike.
When to Go
The brewery hosts Sprecher Fest, a bubbly festivity with dancing and, of course, beer. The annual event takes place the Friday and Saturday before Labor Day in the Old Heidelberg Park Bavarian Inn.
