Our Favorite Place. My husband and I travel 20 miles one way each week for a Solly's butter burger. We wouldn't miss the great food and friendly service. It's fun to talk with other customers sitting at the counter, many of whom have been coming in since they were small children. If you don't want a lot of butter, just ask.

Mmm...... Looking at the list of other top ten Burger joints, I'm appalled that Kopps can be considered for 3 positions. Besides that, Sollys far surpasses Kopps. Sollys takes pride in their burgers and this is proven by the fact that they have many "regulars" including me. To visit or live in Milwaukee without eating a Sollys burger is UnAmerican. This is gold ole home town cooking in a fun and pleasant atmosphere. Try it!

Solly's. I've been going to this place for a while, a tad disapointed at you people who say cops has the best burger, tisk tisk go here and to freds lakeview in burlington then you will truely know what a burger tastes like. Also Herb Kohl goes here. The burger is always great, the service always great you cant miss out on this, if you live in milwaukee take the drive and have a solly's burger. And then when you want a better burger go to freds lakeview, the only thing is thou some of the workers there (teenagers) dont know how to cook corectly, suggest going at night or on a saturday evening.

Burger Lover. I haved lived in the Metro Milwaukee area most of my life. I had heard the bravado of so many Solly's fans, that we stopped on a recent Saturday for the first time. I was primed for a really special hamburger, and was really disappointed in the size of the burger for the price. It was tasty, but I ended up ordering a second one because they are way too small for a big burger price. The waitstaff was friendly, the restaurant was busy, but I'm in no hurry to return again.

solly should be renamed sorry. If you want to eat a poker chip with butter on it, then this is the place to go. For the 1/8 lb burger they serve, it's well overpriced. Other foods are good but they should stop selling burgers.

Not Bad. For an expensive burger, this place serves a pretty darn good sandwich!!

A-oozing we will go.... I had to ask what the white "glump" was oozing from between the bun and burger. Way too much butter!

Just Average. Any burger fried fried to order is going to be decent, but these are by no means great burgers. The patties seem to be standard fast food/commercial patties and the accoutrements sparse. Sort of like an upscale White Castle. The fresh made banana shake was very good, though. Worth eating at if you're nearby, and the homey waitresses are good, but nothing special really.
