EGG ROLLs ....er ..Spring Rolls....whatever. I haven't been there. But the egg rolls were at a music festival tent and I went back for 2 more orders,

This successful Vietnamese restaurant serves crispy egg rolls, lemongrass chicken and steaming beef soup.. The Scene
As history marks another year since the fall of South Vietnam, West Bank owners Than Van Ho and husband Dep celebrate their new life in America by presenting plate upon plate of the foods of their homeland. Than and Dep's story is one of rags to riches; escaping with only the clothes on their backs, the couple was sponsored by an area church to plant new roots in Milwaukee.

The Food
After two decades, life is good at this tiny bi-level cafe serving an amalgam of French, Chinese, Thai and American cuisine. The vegetarian dishes are impressive, and the crispy egg rolls are thin and quite different than traditional Chinese. Entrees like grilled chicken with lemongrass and catfish in a clay pot are all expertly prepared.

Dish to Die For
Try the Pho, beef soup flavored with cilantro and lime.
