This place doesn't care about their customers whatsoever. The workers don't give you any eye contact, too busy talking with other workers about their personal problems. Worst customer service I ever seen at a business. I finally closed my account recently, and so glad I did. Go elsewhere where they care about their customers.
Worst Customer Service Ever.
I had checking and savings accounts with Brewery Credit Union for nearly a decade, but now I've closed them all. Customer service has gone downhill so badly, I've been planning to leave BCU for more than a year.
Apart from unhelpful and frequently hostile clerks, I've been without a working ATM card for over a year. They sent out new ones (for no reason) that never worked. I called many times and they never had a solution.
If you have a problem, you'll often need to go to the office and fight it out there. It's hard to get an answer on the phone, and their phone tree hangs up on you after reading through all the options.
Who has time to waste fighting with their bank to get services that should just work? BCU has been the worst banking experience ever for me, definitely within Milwaukee.
EXPENSIVE!!!. I have been a member of Brewery Credit Union for about 5 - 6 years. My experience had been wonderful until lately. I had changed my address with the credit union early August, at the end of September they charged me return statement fees to my account in the amount of $8.00. I went to the credit union after I checked on my account in early October and was told that everything would be fine and they did have the correct address. The end of October charged another $5.00 return statement fee. Tammy told me this would be credited. When I asked them if they were sending me a new savings card to use at thier ATM which had expired. She said yes, but it would be $15.00. I informed her that the previous rep said they were already sending one out to me and there was no fee included. Tammy said that Kristen in accounting stated the fee is $15.00. I would rather just close out my saving with them and go to an institute that doesn't nickel and dime you for every red cent you have. If they have the best rates in loan is because you pay for it with everything else you want to do with your account. Also, I may as well tell you about my experience I had with changing my last name. The girl Tammy as rude as she can be told the Representative who was taking care of my account that they needed to keep the original copy of my marriage certificate. She was rolling her head talking about she worked at another bank and they keep all origanl certificates. I informed them that I used to work at a bank and you do not keep them. They are $20.00 to get. The representative finally made a copy and gave the orignal back. There service now is HORRIBLE as well as thier fees. I guess they rather have $15.00 but for me to close my account and take my money somewhere else to a bank or different credit union who appreciates me.
When I really needed help they were there.. I will admit that my credit score is not the best, but illness and a loss of a job will do that to a person. When my car broke down I needed to get to work and no one would help! I tried at least 10 banks and 3 other credit unions with no luck. I then went to Brewery Credit Union and within 20 minutes walked out with the money I needed. There staff is easy to work with and looked for ways to make my loan not turn it down.
