SIMMA'S HORRIBLE SERVICE AND PRODUCT.. Some time back I special ordered 12 key lime tarts, as they don't usally have them already made. I have had them in the past and they were wonderful. I drove 40 mins one way to come and get them. When I arrived, they spent about 20 mins running all over only to come back and say they sold them to someone else. The girl just stared at me. After about 15 seconds I asked 'what are we going to do about this?' She then told me that they would give me 1/2 off on anything I wanted.

????????

Now why would I want something else, when I ordered key lime tarts you might ask? Good question. I left.

I then wrote a nice complaint letter and they mailed me a gift certicicate for $25. NOW, the tarts are about $3 a piece. 12 tarts I origianally ordered at $3 a piece comes to about $38 with the tax ( not calculating my gas and my time). I sent the gift cert. back explaining this and they never responded again and kept the gift cert.

WTF???

NEXT, my nephew wanted his cake to come from Simma's, as he was at my wedding 3 years ago and that is what I had. I went 6-8 weeks ago and ordered the cheesecake, which was good, except the cake on the bottom was a bit dry. I ordered a sheet cake for the 'grooms cake'.

IT WAS F***ING HORRIBLE! THE FONDIT WAS CHEWY, BUT WORSE THE CAKE WAS SO DRY, NO ONE ATE IT. WE THREW IT IN THE TRASH!

I am throughly DISGUSTED by the lack of quality (service and product) that I will go out of my way to tell people NOT to use Simma's. Many of their products are really good, but they need to be ALL GOOD. After spending way over $1,000 I expect if to be at least edible.

Shame on me for trying them again thinking something would change after my first crappy encounter.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, ANYWHERE!

Incredible Bakery!!!. The best pastries - taste, appearance - one of a kind! We love it. If you want to impress friends and family, take them something from Sima's and watch their faces. It's worth it.

The best bakery in America!. Besides walking in during the week and finding delectable treats to eat, for your next party or wedding, order a cake or torte from Simma's! The tortes are out of this world and you can never go wrong. The hardest part is making up your mind which torte to order.

The cakes are moist and so scrumptious! The frosting of your choice is not overly sweet, but compliments the choice of cake you made.

During the winter, it can be nice to stop in and have a great, steaming cup of good coffee along with one of the bakery eats on display. If you are fortunate, there may be a chair to sit in while enjoying the entreating aromas of the homemade bakery.

Simma's has been family-owned for 20 years and has managed to keep its commitment to fresh goods and friendly service a top priority, even while busy shipping award-winning creations all around the country. While cheesecakes are, of course, number one, the oh-so-sweet sugar cookies, made with rich cream cheese dough, are a close second.

unhappy customer. Never tried their cheesecake but trying to order a wedding cake from them was a headache!!!!! None of them knew the answer to anything and when they asked someone else...they would come back with the wrong information. I would find this out at my finalization appointment where I thought I could get all the exact information I needed. The person who helped us couldn't answer anything. She couldn't even give us suggestions when we asked for them. Ended up not being helpful at all but incredibly rude!!!!!! Not only that but she made us feel as if we were in the wrong and was hardly apologetic.....Even when we found out the cake sizes (we were told we could order) were given to us wrong.....thus making the price of the cake much more expensive than anticipated. We're not picky or demanding at all but we had to bail on this place.
