The dog is the best thing about HH. I have never written a review before and generally dont believe in negative reviews, figuring everyone is allowed a bad day or two. This was unbelieveable. I am a small business owner and fully understand the challenges of running a small business. They could have the best stock and they may be the most knowledgeable in the hobby world , I have no clue. What I do know is my experience there was by far the worst I have experienced. Rude, arrogant, condescending etc. Any one who rates this compnay more than 1 star is either a family member or a liar. The family runs 3 stores, I called the one on 76th and visited the one on National. Same experience with both stores. Its too bad, there are not many hobby stores left. I was hoping my kids might get interested in the model buliding, RC thing, but after this experience, I am all for video games!

This was a gold mine! I found some airplane kits in here that I have not seen in some time as well as a mix of new stuff. This is a kind of hobby shop that you can find all kinds of treasures if you will take the time to look. I will be back when I am in this area again area. Thanks.

I like the place! I was helped and am happy I went. Different strokes for different folks. I read the other reviews and yes the store is a little overwhelming. I walked in and saw trains, planes, radio control cars trucks helicopters every where I looked I saw Rockets, Boats, models of every type. I wish I would have known about them when my son had his science project for school they had a working model of a volcano. Birdhouse kits bird feeder kits. A man came up to me and asked if he could help me. I asked if he had Lionel trains he showed me where. I needed some track. He asked me what kind of track do you need that

Complete ripoff, place looks like a landfill. While entering the store you will immediately understand the landfill comment. Items are scattered on the floor and junk everywhere. I dealt with who I believe was the owner and needless to say it was my fault that I didn't know the average price of what items should cost. I got ripped off big time $4 part was charged $30 dollars for. Well live and learn and they lost a customer for life. Just read the other negative reviews and you will definitely notice a pattern. I have a feeling the 5/5 reviews are employees/family of the company.

bad hooby store. i have been in the train hobby for over twenty years and i spend a few thousend dollors a year on the hobby and i shop in a few stores around the area.. i was so bothered by how this store runs i had to write this review. the owners of this hobby shop own two other stores by the same name and they all are run the same way. there is for the most part only one person in the store at all times, very seldome are two people there to help with customers. it seems like all the want you to do is pick your item out give them your money and get out of there store. as you walk around - best on a rainy day to see this buckets of water because the roofs are leaking all the time and if they cover the merchandise up with plastic to protect it, it gets damaged. now after the items have been damaged by water they will still sell as brand new stuff yet. now after being in these stores for years alot of the merchandise is as old as the store. if you are looking for 30 year old stuff thats great, but you will pay todays prices on it. they barely have any new train stuff to buy. if you want new and up to date items i say shop at greenfield news and hobby or hiawatha out in waukesha, the stores are clean and well staffed to help you out with any questions you may have. i also have to touch on another point i have and this is why i wrote this. i called as i live a good 35 to 40 minute drive from this store. i wanted to call and see if they had an item in the store that i wanted, the guy was rude and said he would not check and see if he had the item or not because he had other customers to deal with, witch means you need more staff at busy time to help grow your business. he told me just to come in and see what he had, i am not spending money on gas at these prices to drive some where and they may not have the item, that is why we have phones. but maybe the don't care about customer service, they just want your money and don't care about you. i have to say read the other reviews i am not the only one!
