Mazos is a great Milwaukee tradition!. This is a family-owned hamburger haven since 1934. They grind up their hamburger fresh every day on site. The soups are homemade. The atmosphere is historical and filled with lots of memorabilia. Great malts and shakes. Located across the street from another Milwauke icon...Leons Frozen Custard. Check them both out whether you are visiting or live here. Home of a classic Milwaukee butter burger.
BEST Burgers in town!. I think these burgers are better than Kopp's, my friends! They are SO good! I love the small, hometown atmosphere and the staff are so friendly. Awesome deal, you get a lot of food for not a lot of money. I just wish they had better hours!
Great Burgers. Nice small place to get a good burger. Inexpensive, and you get a lot of food. They had a lot of old pictures on the walls too, I liked the atmosphere, the waitress was very nice. Fries were seasoned and good, not like most restaurant fries that are bland.
Yummy Burgers. Excellant breakfasts and hamburgers. Always consistently great! I really like the homelike atmosphere without having to cook!
This family-run, old-fashioned eatery grills some of the best burgers in Milwaukee..
The Scene
The limited hours are the only sign that the Mazo family has begun to slow down after serving excellent hamburgers for three generations. There are only 15 precious seats within the booths of the dining room. Pictures of classic cars cover the walls, giving the place an old-fashioned feel.
The Food
Each morning Nick Mazo continues his father's tradition by trimming and grinding the mountain of beef that produces the legendary burgers: six-ounce patties grilled in butter and topped with raw or fried onions. Get them smothered in melted cheese and sautéed mushrooms or topped with bacon, lettuce, tomato and Thousand Island dressing. They come with two sides: crisp coleslaw, saucy baked beans, fries, applesauce or the soup of the day. Eggs, bacon, ham steaks, French toast and a half-pound of ground sirloin with two eggs top the morning menu.
Good hamburger since the 50's. They have gone through a few face lifts, but the hamburger has remained its wonderful, wonderful self.
"BESTEST" burger in town!. Juicy and delicous, never get tired of them. Oh and those fried onions. If you want a greasy juicy buger there is none better and I've tried alot of burgers in my day!!! Try it once and your hooked for life.
A CLASSIC BURGER JOINT. Mazo's has been around for a long time. Located across from Leon's frozen custard on south 27th street. Definitely #1 when it comes to burgers. If you have been to Mazo's I highly recommend that you stop in there and try it!
