Our family has gotten pizza from here for over 8 years! Love the pizza! The sauce and crust are amazing, it is a little greasy though! What pizza isn't though, right?

I agree with Stay Away. I gave one star because I couldn't rate it lower. We called to make a reservation for 2 on Saturday and were told they didn't take reservations for less than 4. So I asked how long was the wait and was told around 10 minutes. We live 5 miles away so we went, put in our name and waited in the bar. 35 minutes later, after watching the hostess seat three couples who were not waiting I asked, when do we get seated? She told me reservations come first. When i told her that I tried to make a reservation and was told of their policy, ' I didn't take your call, and these other people had reservations". When i asked to see her reservation log, she told me either you wait for a table or leave. As i was leaving she told me to never come back. Belive me, i won't. I've eaten there and the food isn't that special.

Stay Away. Pizza was ok but we ordered a half sausage and half pepperoni and was charged an extra 5.00 for an extra topping. When I confronted the waitress about his mistake she corrected me and said every additional ingrediant is added to the cost . No wonder the place was nearly empty at dinnertime.

THE BESTEST RESTAURANT!. THEIR FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! ALL OF IT... FROM THE LASAGNA AND BIGGEST MEATBALL SANDWICH I HAVE EVER SEEN, TO THEIR VERY TASTY AND EXCELLENT PIZZA! THIS IS THE "ONLY" ITALIAN RESTAURANT ANYONE SHOULD GO TO! WE HAVE BEEN CUSTOMERS FOR OVER 32 YEARS, WHEN THEY STARTED OUT ON 76TH AND BECHER AND THEN HAD TO MOVE TO A BIGGER LOCATION AT 69TH AND LINCOLN AVENUE. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN! IT IS THE BEST.......

Excellent Pasta. My wife and I tried Filippo's at a friends recommendation and are glad we did! It is local place that doesn't have a flashy look to it but the food is great and portions huge. We were seated immediately and our server did a great job.

We usually don't order appetizers but heard the Sicilian garlic bread was good and it was exceptional. The dinner came with soup (wonderful) and bread (good as well but since we had the garlic bread we took it home) and a salad (which was OK). My wife ordered the lasagna and I ordered the cannelloni. We shared our pastas and the lasagna was great and the cannelloni was one of the best I've ever eaten. We only ate half of the meals so we are looking forward to enjoying the rest of it later.

We saw lots of people ordering pizza and so we will be back to try that as well. A simple, local place with incredible food for a reasonable price.

Delicious!. Def. worth going to filippo's if your in the area. The thick crust pizza is spectacular, and the garlic bread very yummmy!

Great food!!!!love it. I thought the food was delicious and if you are in the west allis area you must check out Filippo's. They have great service and great food, I love it.

Thick crust at it's finest!!!. Simply the best thick crust pizza in the state, period. The hours are listed wrong on this site though. They don't open til 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Still the best Italian food!!. I read a review from soneone written late in January. It was an awful review. We already had plans to go to go to Fillipo's and so I was leary. We have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We had reservations for 9 people (4 children) at 6:00 P.M. We arrived at 5:00, expecting not to be seated. They went out of their way to set up tables right away. The food was as good as always. We had Sicilian Steak, veal piccata, lasagna and tortellini. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. The veal was tender and the sauce was very good. The kids loved the chicken strips and fries as always. I paid attention to cleanliness and the serving of the food and I didn't see anything unusual. I will say that the service was a little slow. In defense of them, however, it was a busy Saturday night and they were very busy. We did not find the entrees to be out of line compared to other restaurants. If you are expecting to pay $ 5 to $10 for an entree then maybe an Appleby's or Perkins should be your choice. We will definitely be going back and still consider it our favorite Italian restaurant.

One of the BEST pizza's in town.....try having fresh garlic added...YUM!!. In addition to excellent pizza, I think Filippo's fish fry is about the best deal in Milwaukee.

With the option for pasta vs. fries, and the fish and garlic bread....just excellent!!

Keep up the great work!!
