Dont sell here. This is a serious review. I went into 1/2 books on Brown Deer Rd with about 70 records and 10 books to sell. The lady behind the desk explains to me that they make an offer based on the demand and condition. Alrighty I thought so I went to the record section and did not see one duplicate of what I was trading in. So, I figured they would give me a decent price seeing as they did not have any of them. these were not crappy records. All of my records are in great condition and featured well known artists. I waited about an hour.................................to have the lady offer me 5 dollars for 70(about 7 cents a record) records and 80 cents for my 10 books( all good books LOTR Harry potter and some Hardy boys books). This place takes advantage of such a loose system. The lady behind the counter told me they were in bad condition and would most likely end up in the clearance section. I went and took a look in the clearance section to compare mine to the records there already. the difference was night and day. Most of the records were in far worse condition then mine. A majority of them were so faded and damaged you could barley make out what record it was This really made me mad so i decided to do a little test. I had one item I expected to jack up the offer they gave me. I looked on ebay and this book went for 45$ on a consistent basis. First time i went there they offered me a $1.50. I went in about a week later and they offered me 30 cents. Even the used movie section is a joke. The prices are comparable to if you bought it brand new. The computer game section sells games that require a cd key to play, most of them dont have it. I laughed when I saw phantasy star there for gamecube DERP!! Basically, what it comes down to is this place is shyt. They're price are FUBAR and there is nothing consistent about their trade in values. Sure, you can go there and buy some cheap books. But, I'd rather get a library card.
