Lousy food served with a bad attitude. A burned burger wasn't enough of a complaint to prod the waitress into taking any action to fix the many problems that I experienced at MKD's. The poor service began when a draft beer was set at my table, the foamy head filling a good portion of the glass. I didn't touch the beverage until the foam had vanished, leaving the glass about 70% full, (or 30% empty, as this dining experience continued)

A cheeseburger arrived in less than 4 minutes, overcooked, dry and burned; it had obviously been prepared in advanced and reheated. Service was downright BAD, uncaring and dripping with undeserved attitude. When the condition of the food was described to the server, her only comment was "I'll let the kitchen know," no offer to replace the poor fare. I actually went home and ate something else.

I've tried this Marquette U. three times this past year, and twice have I found it to be a disappointment. I'll never return.

Step back into the '50s at this eclectic Milwaukee diner.. In Short
Expect to find everything but the Fonz in this nostalgic greasy spoon. Standard diner fare shares the menu with homespun favorites like meatloaf and chicken with rice soup. Beverages include old-fashioned shakes and malts, as well as a full bar (open until 2am, Monday-Saturday). For after-dinner entertainment, there's pinball, mini-bowling and shuffleboard in the game room. Less-active types can stay put in a cozy, Key lime-colored booth and watch one of the four TVs.
