Accommodations were great. Shuttle service is a great plus as they provided service not only to Miller Park but also to the Art Museum. My only disappointment with the Shuttle Service was they did not go to the Zoo. The Zoo was one place I really wanted to visit as my first trip there was shortly after they opened. Envoy staff were great. The hostess had my friend's breakfast taken off bill as not as ordered. Front desk staff was helpful in providing names of places to eat. I would stay here again.
Our room was very nice. Beds comfortable. Quiet, restful place to sleep. We really enjoyed relaxing in the cafe in the morning. Breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced. Great shuttle service!!!! Friendly and helpful staff. We will return next year for our annual Milwaukee trip!!!
Staff was friendly and food was awesome! Everything was great! Everyone from front desk to the doorman to staff in restaurant were wonderful. Would definitely stay here again before anywhere else!
The hotel is just a few blocks west of Marquette campus. It is elegant, like a step back in time. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The parking structure is very well lit, very close to the hotel, and the parking spaces are a nice size even for larger vehicles - much better than the parking ramps at other Milwakee hotels I have visited. We did not use the shuttle but it is a very nice feature - runs until midnight and will take you anywhere within a few mile radius, including Miller Park. There is a nice outdoor seating area for a drink or morning coffee. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and very quiet. Thanks to the excellent light blocking drapes you can make the room very dark - we slept long past our usual time without any noise from housekeeping, other guests or traffic. I think the old well built building makes for a quieter stay. In the morning we walked a few blocks to a local breakfast diner (Miss Katie's Diner) and had a great meal. Overall a very nice visit.
If you have a car this is really an ideal location because it's very easy to get in and out of the secure parking lot.
I found the service to be helpful and courteous. My room was very clean. for the most part the hotel is kept in very, very good condition.
The hotel has saved all of the historical look and feel of the original art deco Ambassador but mad current restorations and improvements. The elevators are fun to just open and shut. The clerk that checked us in was super friendly and offered many suggestions of ways to enjoy our time in Milwaukee. We had no problem arranging the shuttle to downtown and he was easily contacted for a return pick up just before midnight. There was some street noise, understandable for the location. We enjoyed the Starbucks on site and had a comfortable sleep.
My experience was great. We loved the decor It brings you back in time very nostalgic and a very friendly professional staff will have me coming back again!! The free shuttle service to anywhere in the city with only 1/2 hour advance notice was great We were celebrating a birthday so we left the driving to the professionals! anywhere you wanted to go amazing!
We were in town for the weekend leading up to the Paul McCartney concert at Miller Park. This hotel was a great find. The restorations are magnificent. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed and pillows comfortable. The final clincher for us staying, however, was the complimentary shuttle service. It allowed us to travel by train and not worry about driving and parking. They took us everywhere in the downtown area we wanted to go as well as to the stadium for the concert. All for a comparable price or less than a chain hotel in downtown would have been. Can't beat that.
we stayed here for 2 nights while attending a BREWER game.the hotel is considered in the downtown area but it really is not. it is on the very outskirts of downtown.our room with 2 queens was excellent.immaculately clean with all the conveniences. the hotel has coffee shop, full bar and restaurant. the hotel shuttle FOR US was excellent. it took us to the ball game in 5 minutes. it took us to the river walk and to the lake front. we had absolutely no problems with the shuttle.
We stayed at the Ambassador last fall and it was everything and more than what we expected. The architecture is beautiful. The location is perfect and not far from many different attractions. Yes if you go 2 blocks in the wrong direction it gets pretty bad. Don't go there. The staff friendliness especially the bar and the shuttle were some of the highlights of our stay. We brought kayaks and bikes and the bike trails were very accessible and extensive in that area. The bell man even let us lock up our bikes in a downstairs office so we did not have to take them up to our room. Gonna plan another trip this August. Oh and food was awesome...
