When it's sunny, this is where the action is, as concerts, towering trees and foreign foods vie for strollers' attention..
Overview
Henry W. Maier Lakefront Festival Park, along Milwaukee's Lake Michigan shoreline, is the place to be in Brew City during the summer. With 80-plus acres of trees, eateries and performance stages hollering for attention, the reggae fans, wind sprinters and bratwurst eaters barely notice each other.
The Experience
Every year, Summerfest attracts almost a million guests who come to hear international musical talent, including rock-and-roll, hip-hop and doo-wop acts. The grounds also host a series of festivals celebrating Irish, German, Hispanic, Italian, Asian, Polish, Native American and Middle Eastern culture. Summerfest's Marcus Amphitheater hosts popular bands such as the Foo Fighters, No Doubt, Santana, Kiss, the Bodeans and Sting.
Music everywhere. SummerFest is by far one of the best attractions around the MidWest.
excellent. I am originally from Milwaukee and have enjoyed Summerfest for years. The Milwaukee area is under rated. I get back to Milwaukee three times a year and always look forward to all the new attractions and busnisess that are sprouting up in the area. Milwaukee you have alot going for you wish Connecticut would get on track.
A GREAT PLACE ON A GREAT LAKE!!!. This festival park has numerous ethnic festivals throughout the summer. There's a little something for everyone. Located on the grounds is the "Marcus Ampitheater" which has 100's of different concerts all summer long. Not to mention the tons of other stages within the park. Definitely check it out! Total family fun!!!!!
