Azana Spa did not honor the full amount of a gift card...
by LeanaH
I had given a friend a $100 gift card, but when she went to redeem it, was only given $70 in credit. Admittedly, I have been tardy in contacting the Spa to resolve the matter. Nonetheless, the Spa still has my $30 in addition to what my friend had to pay for her services. The Spa only tends to return my calls during working hours even though I know that the contact person may be working after 5:00. To date I have had no resolution.
I would not recommend giving any sort of gift card, as you never know if the recipient will have to pay additional money for what you have already paid for.
- Pros: Well-known
- Cons: Appears to be unwilling to honor the full amt of gift card.
Uptight bad hair
by MrsShar
I went to this salon to get a cut and color by a girl named Madison. She (along with the others) seemed stuck up and didn't pay much attention to the clients busy talking to each other. Although my color was decent my cut was not at all what i asked for. Very boring style.... wouldn't recommend Madison.
- Pros: clean salon
- Cons: bad hair stylist
Wow. I see they haven't changed.

I've experience pretty much the same experience as the other reviewers. The atmosphere there was very snobby and almost as the customer was secondary to everyone else. .
The salon experience is just that, it's about the experience. Really, the services are secondary to the experience. I don't pay this kind of money to have someone 'work' on me. If that were the case, I would do the 'work' at home and take the money I've saved and have my 'experience' buying some great clothes instead.
I feel for the hard working people doing the actual work. I am sure they are losing a lot of money because of the way the people up front behave.
I've worked in this industry. I would never dream of treating people the way that I was treated. I work hard for my money. I respect the people I deal with and I respect my money. Why would I give it away in such a frivolous way?
I know it's been awhile since I have been to this salon. I am leaving this review because I get the same response from people I know that have been there. I had a friend say, 'Yes, they're still like that, but my facial was soo good". I think there is a certain mentalitly that the snobbiness is just part of going to a high-end salon.
An additional note: With both experiences, I only experienced a smile once with the front staff - when I was paying them.
- Pros: The employees doing the real work are good
- Cons: The atmosphere, the front staff, the salon layout
