This all-American burger chain's reputation floats on fresh ingredients, friendly service and homemade custard..
In Short
Founded in 1984, this family-friendly restaurant is recognizable by its bright blue roof and stark white interior. The menu includes pork, chicken and fish dinners, accompanied by fries or mashed potatoes, coleslaw and a roll. The signature item is the ButterBurger, which is made from scratch with never-frozen, 100-percent U.S.-raised beef and served on a lightly buttered bun. Dessert options, such as the Turtle Sundae and Concrete Malt, feature homemade frozen custard.
To sum this up in one word...YUM.
...I love the food....but it's SO bad for you :(
the custard is so rich and creamy, everyone should try it!! but a couple healthy things on the menu are their salads....I recommend the club salad.
OK. Butter burgers? Don't tell my doctor. The burgers were tasty but way to much grease. The fries are always encrusted in salt... I've been to Culvers all over the state and they must do this on purpose...
The Best Burger Ever. Fresh, juicy and Very tasty buger. Makes a person want to come back again and again and again. Fixed the way you want it.
fresh, fast food. Overall it is good. People should remember though that drive-thru should be used for small orders or quick orders
Over the top burgers & custard!! (no E). I've eaten at many of the places in the top ten and all I can say is the Butterburgers (yes, there really is butter on them) at Culver's rate at the top. Hot, juicy, delicious and very unlike fast food. Plus last, but certainly not least, FRESHLY MADE.
Butter Burger Ugh!. The words juicy burger don't mean soaking the thing in butter before cooking it!
Congrats Culver's!. I know Craig Culver (the founder/CEO of Culver's), and their philosophy of serving guests surpasses that of any other quick-service food establishment! Way to go Craig and Lea!!
Surprise, surprise. These burgers are so flat and so dry that they could be paper slipped between two pieces of bread. They should be rated about 9. Maybe the people who did this survey have not ever eaten a good burger.
Fast food slowly.
Culver's motto is "Not fast food; good food fast."
Not so fast Culver's... Yes they do make their burgers to order, but they sit around for such a long time before being delivered to the tables that they might as well be from McD*****'*.
Their "Butter-burgers" contain no butter, are not cooked in butter and do not have butter slathered on the rolls (or buns if you prefer). Culver's does, however, make a pretty decent Philly Cheese Steak although Pennsylvania purists would be aghast by the absence of tomato sauce.
