Why drive to the Dells? Treat the kids to a water park heaven in the middle of downtown Milwaukee.. The Scene
In the basement of the Hilton City Center, you'll find screaming kids flying down water-slides--even in the middle of winter. There are just a few short slides here, but kids love the place. During the busy summer months, expect sell-out crowds when even hotel guests aren't assured of entry. But on most days, a pass will cost either $10 or $15 a person (depending on the day and season).

The Draw
In addition to the slides, you'll find a basketball court in the pool, with a short obstacle course, too. The little ones have several slides--and a pool--of their own. For out-of-the-water fun, there are video games and "skill" games (like skee ball, etc.) in which winning tickets can be traded for prizes. And head upstairs for lunch of hot dogs or pizza at the Calypso Cafe.
