Don't Eat at this Restaurant!.
The only thing worse than the food at this restaurant was the service! Our waitress's name was Claire. The most efficient thing she did during our visit was deliver the bill and collect her tip which she definitely didn't derserve. My husband and I dined here with another couple. Including us, there were ten people in the dining room.We had to ask a busboy to please find Claire so we could order drinks. When we wanted to order a second round, we went through the same game of "hide and seek." Where, oh where, is Claire???? We weren't given bread or butter until we asked for it. When it came, we were told we didn't receive it earlier because they had run out. We waited over an hour and a half before food of any sort was delivered to our table. That was the salad and it was the best part of the meal. The steaks were so tough it would have taken a hungry pitbull to chew and digest them properly. A restaurant that calls itself a "steak house" should be ashamed to have something like that come out of its kitchen. I would not return to this restaurant if someone offered me a free meal, and I would never, under any circumstances, recommend it to anyone else. Save yourself $100.00 and go somewhere, ANYWHERE, else!
Good food, atmosphere...service is always spotty.
Using our Entertainment Book coupon we visit this steakhouse once every year. The atmosphere is dim and contemporary. Nice for a romantic dinner or relaxing meal with friends. The steak choices are numerous and the selections sound quite good. The salads, starches, and vegetables are priced ala carte, but at reasonable prices of $3.00-$7.00. You must make a reservation although the place is usually never more than 1/3 occupied. On our previous visit in 2007 when we did not phone ahead to make a reservation, we waited for 30 minutes at the bar while there were no more than a handful of people at the tables. They did not call us...we went back to the hostess stand to see if we were going to get a table soon. The service that evening was 'leisurely'. Our steaks were overly seasoned....too salty. Our recent visit in May 2008, was also marred by a server error. We made reservations and were seated promptly. The prime rib and rib-eye were quite good. Our wedge salad and au gratin potatoes were also excellent. However, we saw a young man walking around with a basket of bread and rolls and offering butter spreads to use on the bread, but we were never offered any. After the salad was cleared we waited 15 minutes for our entrees....bread or rolls would have been nice at this time. But nothing was even offered. When we asked our waitress why we did not receive any bread Claire replied....."Oh, we have a new person doing that job tonight. I told him to bring some over, but I guess he missed you" Nothing was offered to make amends and we were not even offered rolls or bread to accompany our entrees. This may seem minor but again...it affects our opinion of America's.
