Tips for Anaba Tea Room

Nice Tea Room. It would be nice if this tearoom were on the "main floor". You have to go in the basement to get to it. The sandwiches are great. The tea wasn't served properly, but it was good. The atmosphere could be a bit "warmer" but it was modern and nice. They didn't advertise selling the tea when we were there. I hope they do well. I would like something like this to be around in the future for myself and friends,

Awesome Tea Room. This is a very cool and unigue place.

The selection of teas is mind boggling. It would take months to try them all. Thankfully, the staff can help you with selecting. The teas are mostly from Rishi, a Milwuakee importer, and are nearly all organic, fair-trade, or both.

The selection of teas covers the spectrum from black - there are a couple of really good Darjeelings (the Darjeeling second flush is especially good) - to greens and whites.

The food, service and atmosphere really enhance the tea experience. It's such a unigue place that it's hard to describe. We had a very nice waiter who was friendly and made it easy to pick our teas. Did I mention there are a ton of them - over 80 different kinds? OUr food was great, I had the special and my wife had a really large salad. We both enjoyed our meals very much.

On a nice day, the rooftop garden or greenhouse are the nicest places in town. And main restaurant area is a nice hiding place from the world. We went on a not so nice day, so we sat downstairs in the restaurant and it was really nice. We looked at the rooftop garden though and it would be nice to eat up there someday.

Can't say enough good stuff about this place.
