Walking on Air. My work friends and I recently spent two evenings at the Institute of Beauty and Wellness for much needed pampering. For both trips, we received facials and all of our expectations were greatly exceeded. The school is beautiful, the students and teachers were kind, professional and attentive. I not imagine a more positive experience. I highly recommend IBW for a night out with the girls or as a perfect, inexpensive mini vacation-like experience. Superb!!…
DO NOT GO HERE. I was a student at this school, and the ONLY thing that I actually enjoyed was two of the many cosmetology instructors. Funny thing is, when you have a problem or need answers to any questions Gaya (she's like the principal figure) is either sitting in her office "busy", puts you off, or isn't there anyway. NOT TO MENTION, I had graduated in November, had all my paperwork signed off by Gaya, and got a call in JANUARY from Gaya saying that she messed up my hours and I would have to come back for over 30 hours. The woman constantly tries to cover her butt, and I'm sure she failed to tell this to the owner of the school, who, by the way, only cares about making money and profit. PERIOD.…
Awesome Beauty School experience. What an awesome AVEDA experience! These students are absolutely receiving a top notch education in the Beauty industry. First of all, the staff welcomed me with a nice smile, friendly offering of a beverage and a warm moist towel infused with an aroma. This start to my hair cut service was more than what I had expected. While I was there, the student did a consultation with me and the instructor. All I can say is wow that was a great experience. I loved the scalp massage before my haircut! There was a wedding party in at the same time. At least 6 of them and they were having up dos and manicures. Certainly they were enjoying their time as well. This was my first time to a school for a hair cut and I will definitely be back. After reviewing their menu, I learned that they also offer Massages, and Facials. These students are surely on their way to success. They were all very upbeat and full of positive energy. Glad to see they enjoy their school :) NICE JOB!!…
Institute is always top notch. I don't understand what this woman was complaining about. I regularly get services at the Institute and find their students to be on time and never have I experienced this. I have even taken my neice for services and she has not been "shorted" on time. Perhaps arriving late is this lady's problem. Where else can you get Aveda services for discount rates? I would recommend this school to anyone!…
Be Careful. I know it seems like you are going to get fabulous services for inexpensive prices here. You are actually gettting exactly what you pay for, which is not much. I scheduled my daughter for an hour massage. Wanted to try it out for her without spending a lot of money. She came out in less than 45 minutes and that included their pre-interview and them coming out to ask me questions. I figure she was lucky if she got even a 15 minute massage, since it was about 25 mintues talking to me about her first. She should have been back there at least an hour. I realize their pre-interview is part of the service, but she wasn't even back there 45 minutes total. She told me they barely did anything. I guess they thought because she was a teenager they could get away with it. I do have a watch and I can tell time...so can my daughter!…
