Surprising, fantastic gem of a place. I have been here several times and have always left happy. Food has been fresh and excellent, and atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious. I'm a little alarmed about the "Staph" review. I know many people that have dined there. All have had nothing but wonderful experiences with Nessun Dorma. I am going again tomorrow and expect a great time.

Try the Portabella Mushroom Staph Philly. I am by no means a restaurant reviewer, but I wanted to give my two cents. This place is a very popular "gourmet hole in the wall" with great food and drink specials. However, when I went there last (in November), I ordered a Portabella Philly and got a very serious and terrifying case of Staph (also known as food psoning, which you aren't allowed to say on here??). This sandwich has no meat on it, so this is pretty unusual. I realize that this type of thing happens everywhere from time to time, but I have heard of MANY similar cases since my experience.

More disconcerting is when I called a couple days later to let them know, the response I got was "Oh." Even after I explained the severity of the case, that I experienced some pretty serious internal bleeding, etc. They didn't seem concerned about it, or finding the cause. As much as I like the food there, I can't even imagine returning, considering the response I got! Just my two cents.

Superb Food, Fine Wines Very Resonable $. Casual place with awesome food, great specials and a staff that can talk abuot their wine selection in an accessible and intelligent manner. Best in the summer when you can eat outside since it can get a little smoky inside.
