The Scene – Housed in the same building that served as the home of Milwaukee's legendary German restaurant, the John Ernst Cafe, for so many years (and now shared by Chipotle and Panera Bread), this sleek and chic restaurant/bar manages to serve an audience that ranges from the breakfast crowd to those wanting a $35 margarita. – – The Food – Start off with duck-filled egg rolls for an appetizer--fried to a crispy brown and sliced on the bias, these feature a quite-mild portion of duck. Churrasco is a small portion of beef on a stick, grilled and served with a lime…

Awesome food

One of the best fusion restaurants around. Great food and fantastic service. I recommend the yucca fries for appetizer. We went on a Friday night and I had their special, which was mahi mahi fish fry- just delicious. We enjoyed the ambience so much that we ended up staying after the meal was finished just sitting around chatting with our friends. We never felt rushed and our glasses were always kept full.

The Details on Vivo Urban Grill

What to Drink:

If it's a special night, go for the stunningly smooth Penthouse margarita. To justify the steep $35 price, it's made with El Tesoro Paradiso tequila and 100-year-old Grand Marnier. On a budget? Try the blood-orange margarita with a hint of ginger.
