Great Service, Experienced Stylists.
I just recently started coming here when I followed my Stylist, Danielle. I love the atmosphere Chris & Co salon provides and everyone is so friendly. The salon is kept very clean and and I love the way it is decorated inside-presents that welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
I go there every 6 weeks to get my hair done by Danielle and ALWAYS get compliments on my hair outside of the salon. Danielle takes her time with clients to assure they are happy with the results. She is very personable and stays flexible so switching an appt or trying to get in last minute is never an issue with her. I have been referring her from day 1 and every time I go in she seems to know more ways to enhance my color or make my hair stronger & healthier. She continues to educate herself as well as her clients which is hard to find anywhere else.
I would definitely recommend Chris & Co Salon to anyone looking for not only professional & experienced stylists but also great quality service and products. Chris & Co Salon is not one of those salons that has like 30 stylists on the floor and it seems so busy that there's little direction and you're not sure who to expect or where to go. At Chris & Co, everyone is so easy going and each stylist along with the owner and the receptionists are willing to work with you directly to assure full customer satisfaction.
Horrible Experience.
If I could give a negative rating I would. I was a loyal customer for a few years having switched stylists between Mayson and Jamie. I loved them both and if one wasn't available the other was sure to fit me in.
I could always count on them to give me their professional opinion on the newest trends, and no matter how indecisive I was that day they would make sure I was extremely happy before leaving.
I was suprised to find out that both of my stylists had left the salon when I got a call from the owner in January offering me a free service if I stayed with them. (Who does this?, I agree with Meghan, someone who is desperate for me not to follow the stylists I had services with for years). I go for the stylists, not for the salon.
In my last two visits to Chris & Co I had the hot water heater not working. TWO times in 12 weeks. Really? Why was the problem not fixed the first time it went out and caused such an inconvenience? Probably because the salon owner was too cheap to get it fixed the right way. And, because she wasn't there to have to deal with the clients when they had to have thier hair shampooed in ICE COLD water.
I am not surprised that so many stylists have left in the last few months. I would not recommend this salon. There are so many others in the area, and thankfully I have found my old stylists Jamie and Mason!!
I will continue to go wherever they are, and trust they will not be too "Cheap" to fix things when they are broken.
Amazing!.
I went in to Chris & Co Salon wanting to do something daring with my hair- something like a pixie, but still feminine... I was very nervous; a hairstyle like that can very easily go wrong!
Sarah was my stylist- she looked at the pictures that I had of ideas for haircuts, and somehow gave me a haircut that was even MORE amazing than I had ever imagined! 4 days later, I still can't stop looking in every mirror that I pass. I have gotten compliment after compliment about the cut (and color!) that Sarah gave me.
My experience at Chris & Co was wonderful. Everyone was very professional and friendly, the salon was beautiful, and I was treated like royalty. I would absolutely recommend this salon (And Sarah!!!) to anyone who asked.
I wish I could give it 10 stars!
Will never go back:(.
I wish I could have given 0 stars as that would be my rating. My 12-year old daughter wanted 2 inches cut off of her once long hair. Notice I said once long. We had a very tearful car ride home as the stylist apparently doesn't listen to directions. Even when my daughter told her it was short enough during the cutting time, she kept on going. How awful! She came out with her hair at least 4 inches shorter and quickly heading out the door, lest someone see her cry in public. She also got layering which she did not want or ask for. No, I think the stylists either are lacking experience or simply don't care what the clients want.
In addition, I had to suffer through the inexperience of the front desk staff when making the appointment in the first place. I'm glad there are plenty of other options for us in Lake Country.
If you want great hair, this is the place to go!!!. I have been a client of Chris and Co. Salon for a number of years, and I LOVE MY HAIR!!!! The salon is friendly and current, and my stylist is wonderful. I highly recommend asking for Sarah. She is knowledgeable and extremely helpful when you need a new look for your hair. I have never been bored. I can't believe how many people ask me where I get my hair done! Thank you to Sarah and Chris and Co. salon for pampering me and giving me GREAT HAIR!
In Response to Megan342--Love Love LOVE the Salon!.
I would just like to comment on Megan342 posting on 11/20/2010--are you speaking of the same Chris and Co salon in Delafield that everyone else that gave awesome reviews about?? I have been a customer of theirs for well over 5 years and feel it is safe to say I have seen 3 receptionists that have been there for at least 2 years, some longer. I have never had scheduling or booking problems of any sort even through the busy holidays. In fact the stylists are nice enough to stay late or come in early to work with your work hours. I have to say the salon is one my the most updated in the area only being 6 years old and has awesome colors and woodwork that gives it a rich look. There are plenty of pictures available online. As for murals with monkey’s on it-there’s one mural with ONE tiny monkey in the corner looking at himself in a mirror. Funny you notices that tiny monkey, I never did until I read your review. The colors of the mural are a vibrant red, greens, browns and tan/ off white so if this is “dark” to you, I suggest getting your eyes checked for color blindness.
I have to agree I was there when the water heater was broke, but have to say that things happen and not every salon or place is going to be perfect, things break that we don’t ask for. The water heater guy was in their doing his best to work at his fastest pace to try and fix it. Mean while the stylist were running back and forth into the break room, using the warm water from their water jug in the back to rinse our hair. Something they diffidently did NOT have to do. No reason to punish a salon for something they could not help, I was actually given a courtesy phone call notifying me that the water had been cold and if I would like to reschedule they would understand- it’s kind of like asking god to not let it rain on your wedding day…possible? I don’t think so.
As far as the owner calling to offer you a free service-I do not think that sounds like a “desperate attempt to steal you back”. If she was desperate for customers I do not think she would offer you a FREE service. Sounds to me like an owner who is sorry a stylist had done you (as the customer) wrong and would like to make it up to you. I’m sorry that you had such a “unprofessional and shameless” experience at Chris and company, but I’m thinking if it was that horrible you should have not come back after your first experience and maybe should have spent more time looking for a different salon that you feel could satisfy your needs instead of writing terrible reviews. I’m happy you were a “loyal” client to your stylist who had left there to protect her “reputation” shortly after the cold water experience. But I have to say, I have always seen the same at least 6 stylists in their working, so that goes to show it can’t be too horrible of reputation ruining job.
As for anyone else that is reading my review. I have nothing bad to say. The owner is great, always putting herself out there to speak with clients and knows almost everyone by name when they walk in the front door. I often switch between a few different stylists and cannot say I like anyone more than another. I feel comfortable while I am there and always leave very pleased and with great hair. Its friendly, affordable and fun!!
Wonderful Experience!. I have never felt the need to write a review on a product or service before, but, after my recent visit to Chris&Co Salon I felt compelled to! Never before had I recieved such exellent customer service! From scheduing to the final styling the experience was superb! The salon is gorgeous with an upscale appearance but at the same time a warm and friendly atmosphere. Most importantly, my hair has never looked better!!!! KUDOS to Chris&Co Salon for giving thier clients an upscale experience, coupled with a warm and friendly atmosphere at fantastic prices!!!
Greatest salon ever. AMAZING! The salon was beautiful and the prices are affordable for the friendly atmosphere and the talent. I have found them through "Top Salon" issue in Milwaukee Magazine and couldn't be happier. Try it for yourself. I promise you won't be disappointed!!!!!!!!!
Unprofessional and shameless.
I started goint to Chris & Co when my favorite stylist started working there so she could work closer to home. It was a far change from the very modern and chic salon she had worked at, but it was actually closer for me as well and she does a really great job so I followed her.
My dissapointment came with my first visit. First of all, the scheduling alone was a major pain. The receptionist was obviously very young with little phone skill. I had a hard time getting scheduled and ended up having to wait much longer than I would have liked. No big deal though. However; when I finally made it there, the real dissapointment began. I salon was dark and outdated with the most incredibly tacky murals on the walls. Yikes. My stylist began washing my hair at the sinks in the back, which had been the most relaxing experience at her previous salon, here however; the sinks were lined up before this enormous mural with monkeys in it. Monkeys. I was so distracted by the awful art that I couldn't relax.
Of course the stylist was great, but I knew that going in. I remained her client and a client of the salon for many more appointments.
The last time I went in there, the water heater was broken. The thorough rinsing of my hair in icy cold water for several minutes was like torture. My stylist mentioned that this had been an ongoing problem. Not a good problem to have at a pricy salon, Why wasn't the owner taking care of this immediately at any cost? It made a very uncomfortable experience and people left angry. Nobody seemed to be getting a discount for the inconvenience or even an apology from the facilitiy's owner. It seemed very unprofessional and reflected badly on the business and I wasn't suprised to hear that my stylist left shortly after. She has her own reputation to look out for. That was my last visit to Chris & Co.
Several months after I left, I got a call from the owner. She left a message saying that she missed my business and offering any service to me for free if I came back in. This seemed like a pathetic attempt to steal me back or sabotage my stylist to me rather than a sincere or generous offer. I mean after all, she never seemed to care about me before when I had unpleasant experiences. And what other salon owner has to bribe previous customers to come back in? Desperate.
Honestly, I'd rather pay double and remain loyal to my stylist than get back involved with that salon. I just deleted the message.
I do not recommend Chris & Co. Salon. There are so many more professional, upscale salons in this area, you're better off elsewhere.
HORRIBLE. This has been the worst experience I have ever had getting my hair cut. After reading the previous reviews, I was excited to have booked with Sarah because she seemed so well liked. From the moment i walked in to the time i left it was HORRIBLE. Sarah was extremely abrasive and had terrible customer service. I got the feeling that I was the biggest waste of her time. She hardly listened to my suggestions of what to do and was very aggesive with my hair with all the unnecessary tugging and pulling. I have thin straight hair which should not have been difficult to work with. I walk away with an average haircut but in complete tears. I have never been treated so horribly in my entire life.
