best breakfast in town.
Ate at Blue's Egg for the fourth time and it keeps getting better every time. Where have you been all my life??
They do an awesome job on both breakfast and lunch-- yes, there is occasionally a wait but it's worth it. The wait is longer on the weekend but I've been for weekday breakfast and lunch-- you can get it and out if you're in the work rush or I've sat at the counter for a quick bite. Strong Alterra coffee and Bloody Mary's have helped me sustain the wait just fine.
Recommendations? I've had different things on every visit and both breakfast and lunch have been huge portions, satiating and some of my new favorites.
I crave the Dubliner Benedict topped with corned beef and paprika aoili, savory french toast topped with house-pulled ham, hashbrowns stuffed with olive tapanade and goat cheese or the corned beef sandwich. Love the beer list complete with standard favorites (Dale's Pale Ale, thank you very much) but then some newbies I've never heard of.
Oh, an one more rec-- they have a quick menu at the served during the week-- the breakfast sandwich is my new on the way to work standard!!! I've just ordered at the host stand.
