Poor Service, Average Food, Rude employees
by jj1142 at Citysearch
Food was extremely late, approximately 45 minutes on a Wednesday night for one pizza. My beer glass was empty for most of it. I was told to "hold on a sec" about 10 times from servers too busy to even talk to me (the place was dead, but they had somewhere to go). Pizza was dark on top with undercooked crust, and LOTS of sauce. Appetizer was average(combination basket), but the price was insane. $36 for 1 pizza and 1 app...include the extremely poor service and this is the last place I would ever go to again.
- Pros: Downtown Greendale is awesome, except for this place.
- Cons: The staff and food.
Best in Greendale!

When I first moved to Greendale, I ate at Ricardo's with my family. I liked it a lot, but it wasn't until my third visit that I branched out and tried the cheeseburger pizza. Then, it quickly became my favorite restaurant in Greendale, one of my faves in Milwaukee! The cheeseburger pizza sounds weird, but everyone I bring to try it loves it. It tastes just the right amount of ketchupy and even has pickles in it! I also tried the BLT pizza and most of the others, and they're all good! Best pizza! I've never had a problem with the service, but you will probably have to wait, if not for a table, then for your pizza, because it takes a half hour to bake.
- Pros: Food, service, beer
- Cons: wait time, size
Best Pizza Anywhere.

I live in California now and cannot find any pizza that compares to Ricardo's. I have eaten at Ricardo's many times and I absolutely love it. I love the thin crust! I have only had pizza and garlic bread, and both are fantastic. I recommend sausage and onion. That is my favorite. You must try this pizza at least once if you live in the area.
Please note that it is ALWAYS very busy. You should always expect to wait. To me it is very very worth it. Delicious.
- Pros: Best pizza. Thin crust.
- Cons: Always busy.
Love it!!!

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant and I loved it. I don't expect immediate seating when I go out for dinner, which is nice for this place. It's a cozy place and the atmosphere is ideal. If you are going out for pizza and don't mind a little wait, this is the place! I love that they have take-out because the pizza is wonderful. Our server was very personable and it made the wait tolerable. I wouldn't take a big group, maybe just 5-6 people. I'm definitely going back to this place.
- Pros: Great atmosphere
- Cons: Little bit of a wait
Horrible Service and Plain Food
by john_burrows at Citysearch
We were told this place had a cozy atmosphere and took reservations. Our large party had reservations, but arrived and was split up into multiple tables with no explanation. When a manager was requested we were ignored. Our food was average and not worth the hour plus wait as countless people filed by our tables to get to the take out counter in the back. Drinks were very slow in arriving and no one seemed be in charge. No one cared about our party and after requesting to see a manager 3 times, we were finally given an excuse filled explanation. Stay away or dine at your own risk. I know 12 people who will never be back.
- Pros: Nice location
- Cons: Service, Food, People, and Much More
Located in an older section of Greendale, pizzeria delights locals with its Italian-American comfort food.

In Short
Still run by the Loch family that founded it in 1969, restaurant bakes pies on a slate deck and offers an extensive menu. Location includes the family-friendly restaurant and its full bar including wines, domestic and imported beers and microbrews. Pizzeria is known for its thin-crust pizzas, upon which patrons can compile any combination of ingredients, from sausage to spinach. Aside from these customer-concoctions, restaurant also serves up cheeseburgers and fish filets.
After all this time you still rock!

I would hands down give Ricardo's pizza a 20 on a scale of 1-10 By far the best I have ever had. I have had a lot of pizza in my life, but nothing compares to a Ricks pizza I would strongly suggest try one and you will go back and back for another.

Burgers are even better than the pizza, have never had a bad meal. They don't take reservations, and there may not even be standing room at the bar, so if you have mobility issues, come only after 9 pm.
- Pros: Great Pizza, Good beer line, Excellent service
- Cons: , Crowded
A must eat pizza
by btbad at Citysearch
This is the best pizza in the Milwaukee area - period. The crust is thin, but not paper, and the flavor is a cut above. Ricardo's also has a nice variety to choose from in terms of toppings. What I wouldn't do for one of their BLT pizzas out here in Washington DC. Located in the heart of downtown Greendale, it's a nice place for a family meal or a few beers with friends.
- Pros: Nicely decorated, Great location, Good parking
- Cons: Pricey
Best for Thin Crust Afficianados

A little pricy and always crowded but worth the wait. Best thin crust and best tasting sauce in town. If you don't want the wait--call in for pickup!

I agree with you 100%!
Used to be our favorite place, but after the continued rude service I will not be going back!
