I have come here on a number of occasions. I am always impressed with the quality of the food and the service. I totally disagree with the other reviewer. I have never once had bad service or food. I just took my girl here and she is vegitarian and we had no problem find vegitarian dishes for us to eat. I also think it is very romantic and for indian food of this quality the price is amazing. If you know anything about good food i am sure you would agree with me if you went.

  • Pros: food , service, different
  • Cons: smoking tables in bar

Dancing Ganesha is a nicely termed restaurant, with a adventurous menu and plesent crew. But a restaurant still should be rated on the quality of the food they serve. Nothing on the menu tasted as it should, and im not picky. And after an unsatisfactory meal, the bill will hit you below the belt and tell you to cough it up. This restaurant is a disgrace to its name!

The Scene
Dancing Ganesha is named after the elephant-headed god who removes obstacles and leads followers through uncertain times. The dual-level dining room, light wooden tables and an amalgam of music are most inviting. Listen to Indian jazz, Cab Calloway and Billie Holiday while you sip on a saffron martini, a specialty of the house.

The Food
Dancing Ganesha does an excellent job of blending old with new. The food transcends standard Indian fare, and is consistently fresh. Samosas, pork vindaloo and veggie tahli (a trio of vegetarian dishes that change daily) are always interesting and consistently delicious. The pan-seared tilapia drenched in pickling spices is one of the best items on the menu and a real treat for fish lovers.
