Used to come here almost every night with my roommate, but that was 2 years ago. Since then, I went back once and ordered a Meat Lovers Skillet and it sucked... Hoping it was a mistake and this place didn't go to the dogs. My roommate and his girlfriend liked their food, so I still recommend it.

Solid Breakfast. Omelet was great, potatoes were great, and my coffee cup never got to half empty! I'll be back.

One of the worst experiences of my life. I brought a friend of mine, who was visiting from Florida, to this place on New Years. I ordered a reuben and my friend ordered a chicken sandwich. Because of the late hour, the waitress asked for the payment immediately. She said the bill was $24 and some change. I handed her $40 and she explained that she would be back. After our food arrived, she checked up on us. After we were done eating, she took the plates away. At this point, I realized she was either trying to steal from me or completely forgot. I asked her for the change and explained how she said the bill was $24ish and that I had given her $40. She apologized and came back with $12 in change. 40 minus 24 is 16, thus she should have given me roughly $15 and some change. I would have questioned her for trying to steal from me, however she did not approach us again the 10 minutes we sat there waiting while staring her down wondering what was going on. I added $2 to the $3ish tip she stole from me. I own a business and do work with my friend, so was expecting a receipt to write it off on my taxes as well. I did not receive a receipt, did not receive the correct change, and certainly will never visit this place again.

Great breakfast!. The omelettes and fried potatoes are the best. The biscuits and gravy are pretty good, too, just not the southern style sawmill gravy that I'm used to. I love stopping here on my way home from church for a fun breakfast with the family.

Ma Fischer's -- poor service. My "Garden Salad" consisted of old looking packaged lettuce, one slice of a tomato cut up into 4 pieces (which had a grimy texture, a couple slices of carrot, and huge chunks of broccoli and cauliflower (so big that when I took it home due to not being able to cut it up at the table for normal sized pieces, I made a salad as if I bought ingredients, rather than buying a salad to eat at the restaurant).

To top it off, I ended up leaving after waiting so long, when the waitress knew I finished eating my meal, so I never received the dessert that I ordered.

Stay away from Ma Fischer's Family Restaurant in Milwaukee!. We usually go 2-3 times per month. No longer. They screwed up a simple order of eggs, so my wife sent it back. It came back again, unsatisfactory. So, she decided not to have a meal and simply wait for me to finish my meal. However, the restaurant manager insisted that we pay for the order, even though we did not eat it. The manager insisted he was right, we were wrong and how dare us question their egg making ability. He was extremely condecending. There was even mention of calling the police (!?). So, I made a very simple suggestion: He can either remove the $7.00 meal from the bill and we can continue as customers OR I will pay for the uneaten meal and make this our last visit. He then politely told us that he would remove it from our bill, but does NOT want our future patronage. So, that is that! Frankly, neither us is heart broken, as the food is not that great anyway.

Don't need the soup. Good food, but sometimes too much. Don't need soup with every meal and most meals come with it. Service is a little slow, but it's usually busy when I am there.

Very RUDE to POLICE and Employees!!!!. It has been my experience, over the past 20+ years, that the food is ok, prices a bit high for quality, and the Management downright RUDE to Both Help and Police/Parking enforcment. I have witnessed first hand The owner, Georgie Panos and his Son, Peter Panos, chewing out the help in front of customers, and the later, Peter Panos, throwing full soda bottles at Parking Enforcers and Police.

For the quality of food, go to Mc D's, it's cheaper and less stressful for the customers. Service is okay, and every few years they have a fire to remodel the restaurant. There are much better choices for late night or daytime feeding.

New To The City. My boyfriend took me there when I visited Milwaukee for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I thought it was great. The food was good and our waitress was very friendly. The only thing that I didn't like is that it was a little slow, but considering that it was a Saturday night and so many people had probably just left the clubs, it was cool. When I return to Milwaukee in a couple of weeks, I will return there. And I know that when I move to Mikwaukee in January, I will most likely make Ma Fischer's one of my favorite places to eat.
